The simulation presents the result of the T-34-85's 85mm BR-365K Armour-Piercing High-Explosive projectile impacting the upper glacis of the Hetzer at 250m.
Due to the steep sloping of the armour, the Hetzer offers better frontal protection than the Tiger I. The armour has been modelled as medium-hardness RHA as this was the most likely plate used, and offers the best performance against armour-piercing projectiles due to its impact toughness. (high hardness armour performs worse against full calibre AP at steep angles due to its low elongation limit). The BR-365K projectile was modelled with a progressive hardness (~250BHN at the base, to ~450BHN at the nose).
