Now we will talk about one of the brightest representatives of the firefly family, the Soviet light tank of the ninth level - this is the T-54 Light Guide.
With the release of update 0.9.18, dramatic changes occurred in the game, because level ten tanks were added, as a result of which some vehicles familiar to us changed somewhat. Serious changes have also occurred with the T-54 Lightweight World of Tanks tank, and now we will get acquainted with the updated USSR tank.
As always, we will start with the fact that, by the standards of our classmates, we have at our disposal a standard margin of safety, as well as a very good basic viewing range of 390 meters, there are no big changes here.
It is also worth noting that among all the light tanks at the ninth level, our hero is the most durable, because the T-54 Lightweight armor characteristics really inspire respect. The strongest place we have is the frontal projection of the turret, here the armor is nominally good, and our turret has an excellent, streamlined shape, thanks to which the reduction in this part reaches 190-250 millimeters, which gives the T-54 Lightweight World of Tanks the opportunity to catch quite a lot of ricochets and non-penetrations.
The frontal projection of the hull is less protected, but due to the fact that the upper frontal part is located at a very good rational angle of inclination, the armor here rises to 160 millimeters. Yes, in most cases the Soviet light tank T-54 Lightweight will penetrate without any problems, but if you don’t stand still, ricochets will also delight you from time to time.
But it’s better not to turn sideways towards the enemy, because even if you try to set up a good diamond, the armor may not be enough, because from the side projection of the T-54, the Lightweight tank is much worse protected, and hopes that the gusli will be “eaten” by the enemy shell too carelessly .
By the way, it is always better to hide the hull also because when we are hit on the sides, the ammunition rack is often hit, and by punching through the VLD, the enemy is highly likely to damage the fuel tanks.
An important role during the battle is also played by the fact that the T-54 Lightweight WoT has a very low silhouette and small overall dimensions, due to which our camouflage coefficient is high, and it’s not so easy to just hit us.
You can rejoice at the transformations of patch 0.9.18, because now the World of Tanks T-54 Lightweight has become even more agile and dynamic. The maximum speed has not changed, it was just as high before, but we were given a more powerful engine and now the ratio of horsepower per ton of weight has increased significantly, but the maneuverability has decreased slightly, but is still very good.
Due to changes in the balance, serious changes affected the armament of this device, not all of them benefited it, but still the gun has changed and it is very important to know its parameters.
