I have early retirement due to my injuries during my military service - and most mornings I like to watch one of your videos - they inspire me, teach me and help my day start feeling very positive ...thank you ... Ric
You are the best modeller on youtube, almost all the techiques I use in scale modeling, I have learned from you. With every video you’ve either helped us learn or inspired us. Keep up the amazing work! :)
Agreed except for me it's all the techniques I aspire to :) I don't even much care for 1/72 kind of scale work but I could watch David make them all day. He's sublime.
First: You are an absolutely top-notch modeler. Second: Your videos are very well-produced; music and audio, camera work, etc. Thank you for another master-class!
The paint job brings out the details on such a small scale model, the T62 came out wonderful. Thanks again David for your tutorial as you built the kit.
I have recently returned to scale modeling and have learned so much from watching your channel, you achieve amazing results, I'm sure all your fans appreciate the time you take to share your skills and talent with us...I'm always pleased when I see you have a new video posted ! please keep them coming David...
Stunning work as usual, David! I could not believe all the engineering in such a small kit, the single piece tracks with wheels and other slide molded components are impressive. I thought that you had gone overboard with your colors, but you were right, it was all brought together with the wash and pigments. Thank you for taking the time and explaining still more of your materials and techniques during the build, makes it easier for others to achieve the same results.
Honestly, your videos calm me down a lot. The music you choose always makes me watch the whole video without biting my nails and for me that's incredible. Amazing work like always, you are my inspiration and the reason I started building models.
Great job as usual David. Why anyone would give this a thumbs down is beyond me? I guess some people are just jealous, petty and clearly have nothing better to do than be idiots.
The extra details with the wire really improve the kit. I was hoping for this video, after watching the diorama one. I also can't believe how straight the free hand white lines turned out!
I absolutely love your builds, and I wish I could achieve the level of detail you can do, and make my models look as amazing as yours. Happy to be a subscriber, and avid lover of this hobby as you are.
I found a kit like this in my country, same tank, same scale. They're included with wires and modifications that you've installed, sold with tools and other accessories.
You are a very clever modeler love watching to see results at 1/72scale the effects are great keep up the great work and thank you for all the inspiration cheers
Nice work! I remember when working on Company of Heroes game, we would fade the tops of all the tanks to give them a sun bleached look. It was subtle but looked cool. I really dig the weathering, its not too harsh. Keep up the great work.
Once a again a very beautiful model. Especially the nice green tone. After having built both Trumpeter their IS-4 and IS-7 in 1/72 I have to agree that there are some strong points such as the wheel/track piece but also lacking in details in some areas such as missing handles for the turret. Funny that in their older IS-3M kit the handles for the turret are included (pre-bent) and also shallow holes that have to drilled out in order to put the handles on.
I ABSOLUTELY Love to watch you build/put together/create these Awesome Masterpieces of modeling art... I get learn so much & get So Many new ideas by watching your videos... Thank You and keep up Your Awesome building...
Interesting kit. I love the road wheels and tracks. Most track with out return rollers will rest on top of the road wheels. Hard to build this feature on most armor. Great job on painting. Though I'd use a scheme from the middle East. Then could be paired with a M-60 or Centurion. Nice work with the wire. I like to use staples for handles and such. Easy to get to shape.
You are so good I hate you. Not really. I'm just a bit jelly of your skill, but it's also an inspiration. I just can't believe you painted the recognition stripes without masking; REMARKABLE. Just tell me it took longer than 15.75 minutes to build that model. I'll feel much better about my slow glacial pace. Beautiful.
Good beginner kit (unmodified), I think, and excellent detail in this scale. Always impresses me how you get so much out of these small kits! And those quotes "easy peasy, lemon squeezy", lmao!
Make the type 59 and a tian an men square 1989 diorama, that would relate to you’re Operation Danube. Anyways you’re the best scale modeller I’ve seen on RU-vid and almost all techniques in scale modelling I learned from you, keep up the good work.
Very similar kit to the one I just finished. Trumpeter 1/72 IS-7, very nice details, molded track and some missing details that were shown on the model on the package. But I just used some wire like you did to create them. I was pleasantly surprised by the molded track too, I was skeptical but it turned out very well. Nice work on this T-62 though, I've been meaning to get this kit.
I could watch these all day. Who am I kidding, I have been. Amazing details in all of your models and dioramas. On average, how long does it take you to complete one of the 1/72 tank model kits with the painting and distressing? Just curious as I'd love it give it a go myself. Keep up the great builds. They come out better than the real things.
I was thinking Halloween is right around the corner. I have seen you do planes, tanks, ships... I remember growing up, they had vinyl monster model kits. If you built one, I would watch it. Lets face it, if any of us remember them, they were probably never put together by a expert modeler, nor professionally painted. Just a thought, a suggestion... It's something different... Next to the Japanese Robot models, which are quite pricey. Dracula, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Frankenstein...
Amazing kit and build ! But in my opinion, you should have gone for olive drab instead of dark green for the base color, that's the color I use for soviet tanks. But the result is still stunning !
