T-80U-E1 FIRST Dev Server Gameplay + Overview - Russia's New Top Tier Premium [War Thunder]

With all due respect, Tankenstein, I must make a correction: The T-80U was newer and better than the T-80B. To clarify: - Original T-80 is developed as a pre-production tank. - T-80B is developed as the production model with many, many improvements over the T-80 as well as a new turret. - T-80BV is developed, the hull base armor is upgraded but the turret's is not, both turret and hull receive Kontakt-1 ERA. - T-80U is developed, the turret base armor is significantly improved, the tank receives a more powerful engine and thermals in 1990, both turret and hull receive Kontakt-5 ERA, the T-80UK is a command variant with improved sensors and electronics. - T-80U-E1 is developed, it mates a T-80BV hull and a T-80U turret, the hull is upgraded from Kontakt-1 ERA to Kontakt-5 ERA [I assume they wanted to upgrade the T-80B's to the T-80U standard, it didn't end up being implemented]. - T-80 BVM (2017) is developed, it's based on the T-80BV but receives Relikt ERA, new autoloader so it could fire 3BM59 and 3BM60 along with a whole host of improvements to it's operating systems including the Thermals from the T-90. - T-80BVM (2023) is developed, it's based on the T-80 BVM (2017) and receives a whole host of anti-drone equipment, the "cope cage" and an improved transmission that now allows for a reverse speed of 20km/h [an improvement from the ~12km/h of previous variants]. These are not all of the variants and prototypes based off of the T-80 tank, but merely the ones relevant to the video. A very interesting variant for War Thunder would be Object 640, a T-80U with an elongaded hull with 7 rather than 6 road wheels, more powerful gas turbine engine, 125mm 2A46M-4 gun, bustle-autoloader with blow-out panels and Kontakt-5 ERA with Kaktus-6 ERA on the turret front [similar performance to either Kontakt-5 or Relikt while being much lighter]. On another note, Gaijin made a mistake on the T-80UD by not modeling it's remote HMG. Edit: Update - According to the User Manual leak for the T-80BVM (2023), the transmission was not upgraded and the reverse speed has remained the same as on previous versions.

It'd be ok to add a bunch of premiums ONLY if they added new game modes and better designed maps. (A lot of maps have a one side bias that wins most of the time)

It literally has the same armor as the T-80U lol. T-80BV obr 1985 and T-80U's had the same base hull armor. Meahwhile T-80U and T-80UD had the same turret armor.

You think gaijin looked at the stats and said "man Russia sure isn't winning enough. Maybe it is because we added a rank 7 premium and theres so many 1 lifers. I know, lets add a second one that way the players could have 2 premiums and have a higher chance to win" The only thing stopping Russia from winning every game is players lacking GE to increase the number of vehicles in their line up

the tech tree T80U is so powercrept at this point, this premium version has better thermals and a better ATGM and the squadron version has APS, they should put the T80U at 11.0 or raise the others to 11.7 and decompress tanks, this is silly

I wonder why gaijin would release another top teir russian premium? Maybe it has something to do with people who continue to complain about pointless non-issues that they *know* isn't absorbed or taken into consideration by gaijin and as a result of their constant complaining new players hear the terms "russian bias" and "op" and immediately purchase top tier premiums like the 2s38 hoping to cut corners in the grind and considering the fact that the only thing gaijin listens to is money they notice the influx of people buying said "op vehicles" and as further result add more russian premiums. If you genuinely want to do something about "russian bias" and the overwhelming amount of russian premiums shut up, complain about actual issues, boycott the game, quit, do literally anything then waste peoples time and fuel gaijin's greed. Have any of you people even considered any of this as a possibility? Or do you just plan on complaining to gaijin for eternity knowing damn well they won't do a thing regardless? Seriously wake up or shut up, gaijin will continue to make more russian premiums until they notice players are losing interest and are no longer buying premiums, all of you should know for a fact that gaijin has not and never will listen unless its something in regards to money. With that in consideration do something of actual value than crying about "russian bias" and wasting everybody's time.
