The comment I was looking for. This movie is a cash grab, anyone who seriously likes it has no brain. It's a fun movie when you're high and don't care, but aside from that it falls flat. T2 director's cut ended the story, but Hollywood goes where the money is. At least it's interesting to see how many people are not able to think for themselves and take everything at face value... As in "if the name of the movie is Terminator 3, that means that the story didn't end with T2". No, it simply means that Hollywood decided to milk the cow as long as they can. Same thing with Game of Thrones apologists. They are too dense to understand that just because it says "Game of Thrones" on the label it doesn't mean that it is still Game of Thrones. I'm talking about seasons 5-8. That's also why I don't like democracy, because most people are way too susceptible to propaganda. And that's also why so many doctors are arrogant... Because people blindly trust them, even if it kills them. The sheep simply can't fathom that authority figures can be wrong. I enjoyed 3 but it just always felt like an unnecessary movie, that kinda voided the second one. It was a sad fate for Sarah Connor because you saw on her plaque “fate is what you make it” basically, but this movie just kinda threw the middle finger to that while also throwing the middle finger to the second movie as a whole, like they didn’t stop judgment day, they just post poned it which just felt….crappy. Like the acting a special effects of this one were as good or better that its predecessors, bit the whole tone was just…grim…

I have one minor problem with the T-X in this scene and that it wastes it's best chance to kill Kate by impersonating her fiancé. If it had just waited until she got a little bit closer the kill would have been so easy but I guess it wanted to use its weapons instead.

If the T-850 doesnt drive up *right then* and hits the T-X with an RPG; what was Kate going to do? She was facing down an advanced Terminator with plasma weapons and other equipment, she was literally seconds from being shot as it was. Where/what was Kate's escape *before* Arnie came to the rescue? *Nothing* So It is very believable that the T-X felt they were guaranteed to kill Kate in this instance, unmorphed to pull out the Plasma shooter and thanks to plot, the T-850 showed up just in time to keep the movie going. Without the T-850 pulling up the T-X vaporizes' Kate with ease. So thats almost exactly what the reason for your question is honestly.

Next few movies will make you appreciate Dark Fate.

What makes this movie not good?.

They could have been a little more creative with the timetravel story. Some new AI, totally different from Skynet, engineered by humans in the alternate future John Connor and his mother created, becomes conscious and decides to end humanity (surprise). It discovers the story of the original Terminators on the internet, likes the idea and builds a Terminator looking just like Arnold to infiltrate and kill John Connor in the future. Just to be sure it uses its massive resources and casually builds a time machine to send back another Terminator, just to be sure. The movie is a great action movie, but the just didn't bother to explain why rolled out like it did.

Terminator 2 taught us we can make our own destiny and t3 lazily said, " the nukes will fall no matter what". T3 lacked the magic of its predecessors because it had no theme. It was just a terminator thrill ride. T1's Kyle Reese told us about a future where you were starving to death and either burning people or being burned. T2 was a coming of age story for boy with no strong parental figure. Fighting fate along his crazy mom and a killer machine. The fact that I felt like John was putting down his puppy when he killed arnie...was a feat itself. So t3 which was just a monster movie with no plot, well ofc it was hated. It's only a meme to say it's not that bad because it's successors we're even worse lol

My complaint with T3 was dumbass plot-holes like 2:02 -- why would the machine change? Acting as the fiance was the best-shot at getting physically close to the target. Or when the Terminatrix basically had an orgasm after sampling the bloody bandage with John Connor's DNA on it. Why would the machine be excited? Sure, it'd adjust its mission-parameters to the new target, but it wouldn't be orgasmic about it. There are some other examples, but I appreciated T3 for completing the arc of both sides, with both sides finally understanding that it was unavoidable: _no one can change fate._

My personal explanation is this; T-3 gets the hate it does (or did, it seems to be getting more favor these days) specifically because it comes after T-2. Terminator 2: Judgement Day is a masterpiece and very well loved, it came out before T-3, it did alot of what T-3 does but better, T-2 seemed more of a necessity to the story whereas T-3 is looked at as less so. Think of it like this; your father is Michael Jordan, he is the greatest basketball player of all time, he is universally loved and held as the prime standard of his genre. Now you being Michael Jordans son, you are going to be compared to your father relentlessly, you will be expected to meet the same standards as your father and then surpass them. However you have no real chance of doing so, not because you're bad; but because the people expected unobtainable goals for you. Terminator 2 is the Michael Jordon of the Terminator franchise, and Terminator 3 is the Marcus Jordon of the Terminator franchise. He comes as a direct sequal to the best; and he does the best he can, puts in a good effort and goes down his own path even if that doesn't make him better than his father. Terminator 3 is the little son of Terminator 2, someone who had impossibly high expectations to the point that failure was almost guaranteed. Thats my own personal take on why T-3 is so lambasted by fans of T-2

The story and the acting were a bit corny at times. The concept of the TX was meh in my opinion. I feel like the t1000 was superb. I would’ve went in the direction that genisys went with a t1000 and a t850 or whatever it’s called against a reprogrammed t850 and perhaps more of a badass John Conner. Not this drug addict whiney baby. That and Arnold’s acting had a little too much emotion for a machine, especially near the ending, unlike in the previous films.

@@hankhill1928 In GTA 5 the max wanted level is 5 stars, in every other GTA the max is 6. 5 stars on 5 and the others besides GTA 4 means the FBI/FIB gets sent after you. On GTA 4 having 5 stars means the NOOSE gets sent after you, which is still a division of the police, and FIB agents are sent after you at 6 stars. On every other GTA game besides 4 and 5, having 6 stars means the military gets sent after you with tanks.

The T-850 can withstand heavier firepower and survive blasts from the T-X's plasma cannon while the T-800 would've been destroyed. The endoskeleton of the T-850 would withstand higher temperatures than the T-800's, and the T-850 had two Hydrogen based fuel cells while the T-800 only had one.

Did any of you guys realize that the t1000 was entirely liquid metal?!😂 The TX is a mixture of a t800 and a t1000. She has a endoskeleton it is just protected by a small layer of liquid metal that regenerates her outer human skin layer. But if she is damaged too much to get to her endoskeleton she is not going to be able to regenerate that 🤷 however I do agree with you on her being dumb to blow her cover when Catherine was definitely going to just run into her arms😂
