Vashtorr's Unholy Mechanism only says attacks, so I am fairly certain it applies to both melee and ranged :) He can however only choose one of the rules which is a bit rubbish. Very cool model though and great paint job

Vashtorr paint is amazing but it sad a Warpsmith would be more useful than him. Warpsmith can actually give the Forgefiend the +1 to hit on ranged attack at 23:32.

The painting is amazing! Fletch is a very talented man. With Mont'ka you can re roll 1s to wound if within a certain range depending on the battle round and there was a lot of times you missed that. Y'vahra turn 1 would've really benefited from this.

Just a heads-up, the stealth suits get a 2+ in cover, so even if the venom crawlers get a +1 to hit they would still take a -1 penalty Also you could have rerolled all those 1s to wound in turn 2 cause of Mont'ka

Bro, my friend and I played the other day, his Tau vs my eldar, and he one shot my Wraith Lord with his Hammerhead. Next turn, he killed my wave serpent with it and I lost my entire Fire Dragon team that had just disembarked when it exploded

did the tabletop tactics crew have a different version of the rules for Vashtor then the ones GW released digitally? like using all of his ability's and the plus one to hit being for melee like the editor notes keep saying instead of everything which is how it is on the digital rules? i can totally see GW having different rules in the hard copy in the box then the digital ones that they release.
