I like this for one reason, I hate extended handles or even mil spec for the fact they dig into my chest, I have slings on all my rifles and I use them, If I bought this I would use the right side only keeping the left side smooth. I'm really liking side charging AR's as the keep it all smooth and no charging handles or dust covers to buy or worry about
See I want to like this charging handle but I can’t. The polymer latch wore flat on mine so now when the bolt locks back I get hit in the face with the handle itself.
I really like the look but it's useless if you want a charging handle that is quiet and will lock all the way forward on it's own. I have more Strike product than most people out there and I'm sorry to say I won't be using this charging handle. Looks great but a very poor locking system and very noisy. It rattles like a baby rattler. So far the best they have is the Latchless and even then it's really best if you take the time to file the inside of the charging handle pathway entry on the receiver so that it won't destroy the spring steel and the handle when you allow the BCG to carry it forward. Make that mistake ONCE. Now I file my entry ways at a 45 so that the spring steel won't catch on the 90 and buckle up and bend and tear the thin wall of the charging handle shaft. Yup, happened to me. I love Strike products but certain items are not worth the money or effort put into them. And, like most everyone else they are getting way out of hand on their prices. They don't need to raise their prices like they did.
Please tell Me there’s one like these for the 308 🙏 or that there will soon be! So far none of the charging handles designed to export gasses away from shooter for my M110 has worked as ideally desired compared to what this looks to be doing.
@@Randy_84 I'm trying to figure out the advantage of adding that gas exhaust. Seems when the bolt is forced back by the gas that the ejection port is and has been very effective. Venting the gasses within an inch or two of your eye is risky.
@@snafu21 the gas venting happens anyway, by leaking around the back of the CH. The point of this product, if I'm understanding it correctly, is that it creates a path of least resistance that blows the inevitable amount of gas that reaches the back of the CH off to the side, away from the shooter.
I wish Strike Industries would do like most other companies and allow people to post reviews on their web site. Are they afraid of the people opinions??
