Annoying when people say "isnt vaporwave just slowed down 80s jams?". I mean, even if it was only that, the track presents an entirely different atmosphere, and its amazing
@@theashologist there is a lot of vaporwave that entirely transforms the song or is made entirely from scratch. You should check out catsystemcorp's and telepath's album "building a better world" or nmesh's "pharma"
most of the reason people say that is because of the aesthetic normies that try to make their own vaporwave with audacity and just slow down a song and call it vaporwave
Dude iv been lucky not gonna lie. What I started doing was playing vaporwave in my car on my phone etc. eventually one person out of the every hundred you come across will like it and know what it is. I met three in my lifetime out of random
Everyone comment sad feelings on this song but its such a nice relaxing vibe to me, late night as this plays on the TV, sipping a drink enjoying being alive.
For some reason this kind of music reminds me of one late night I was sitting with my girl in a small bar with quiet jazz music in Bangkok slightly away from the heavy and loud fulness of this hell of a city. Nothing but very humid air, cigarette smoke, long drinks and some sirens and honks in the distance. And this feeling that you are so far from home amongst millions which seems frightening but then also the feeling of not being alone in this big world which is comforting. Perfect captured in a musical vibe like this.
impossible to listen to this and see the picture paired with the song and not think of all those thousands of people living their small little lives, so near but so far...and then realize you're only one of them
This song reminds me of a better, more hopeful time in my life and of a certain someone that I'll cherish for the rest of my days. Driving around and listening to this in memoriam of the meaningful conversations we used to have on spring nights like this one.
One of the other comments said 6:02 makes them teary-eyed (which I agree with), but man. 10:07 just gets me every time. Immediately puts my head back and makes me think on my past. This song is just so fucking good.
I love the backround image and listening to this before sleep. For some reason this reminds me of one of the times me and my bf went to Tokyo and stayed in this tall apt complex it had a nice view. I miss him wish he was still physically alive
Driving home after a long day while listening to this just takes me away. Like it's recharging my batteries. No stress, just get home safe and enjoy the experience.
I am walking home from my business in japan and it's currently a late night, because it was one of those late night days where we do extra work to make sure our business is up to date. As I am walking I can see the many colorful signs and led lights of Tokyo, there is a medium amount of people on the streets and a few cabs waiting on the side line streets with the signs on top saying in Japanese available or not in service I wouldn't need to take a cab because my small luxury Japanese apartment is just 3 blocks down form my company. This songs gives me that late night vibe while I'm Waiting in the lobby of the airport waiting and waiting for my plane to come so I can do a showcase in France.
i believe this is a fake comment and you're an american like me fantasizing through vapor wave and you're just a little too vague of descriptions of The japanese aesthetics.... sounds nice but like a rough draft of a story, we all could make this comment. try again
@@dakotadixon7424 First off my comment was based on how the music made me feel or perhaps visualize besides the picture in the video. So it really doesn't matter if my comment was fake. It's all about what the music itself made me imagine; I'm imagining that I am obviously in Japan seeing everything I said in my comment. It doesn't make sense of you saying that I'm being vague about the Japanese aesthetics of the video, when I tell you that I'm imagining what I see related to what the music makes me imagine besides the picture of the video. I know I should of originally implemented this imagination in my comment, but figuratively it shouldn't be a big deal because you should've already knew that it was my imagination. but at the same time this is RU-vid not an English or literature class. So you try again but better perhaps we both should try again, but being more accurate and precise.
I think the Telepath songs are amazing. They are fantastic, they involve several sounds in a muffled volume, it is something I cannot describe but it is incredible.
Kinda makes me think of those days as a kid, just hearing nice music from a distance. Either from the mall, from the drugstore, or from being out in the city. It brings a nostalgic ambiance.
I recognize the building center right, Tokyo - Overlooking Roppongi district. Stayed here in 2018... taking me back ... One of the greats from Telepath Remember that time 2015 - 2016 Vapor-wave was blowing up, and we had such a sick online community? Miss those days
@@pearlplazaism7284 literally nothing, check out what 100 percent electronica is doing, and for an example of how alive the community is, deaths dynamic shroud's mixtape club is consistently pulling outsiders in. long live vaporwave
It's a warm summer night in 1999, a perfect time to head out to your favorite bench located on the Jersey shore. Across the harbor lays Manhattan, the towers of the World Trade Center standing guard at the tip of the island, the Empire State Building lit up like a Christmas tree in Midtown. 'The City That Never Sleeps' presents the elegance that enamored the likes of Frank Sinatra and many others, including you. As you take it all in, you hope to have another moment like this in the future, perhaps in 5, 10, 20 years? Only God knows, and you sit back and relax, an enraptured observer taking in the beauty of such a moment in time.
i imagine this song while in a new york apartment with big glass windows, looking out with some coffee or whatever you may have at the people in the street. Enjoying the view and life :D
It’s 2000 your in a terminal at LAX airport and it’s 2am...all the shops are closed, you’re the only at the gate infact the whole terminal with the exception of occasional airport workers that walk through the hallways of the terminal....you look at the monitor and see that your Continental Airlines flight is on time all you can really do is wait and let the music take over.
We are like a minority of people who actually breathes with Vaporwave here. I never met anyone of my match or had people notice how much I have seeked in music taste. But I still upliftingly would like to think that time will come.
Sometimes, explaining what vaporwave does to your mind is the hardest thing to explain. Most people don't get much further than "This makes me remember things I've never experienced", which is a pretty good summary. Still, there's always much more to it, which can only be thought.
now that i look at the image alone without having it to play in the background just enjoying my time , i get uncertain about my future just that image fucks me up .
This song isn’t one of my favorites, but it holds a special spot in my heart it was the last weeks of 6th grade (the best time of my life ever) no but literally I had so many friends, a relationship, and good grades the year truly was my favorite and I had gotten iss for being late to many times when they called me down to the office to go to iss I just remember my friends wishing me good luck and goodbye 😭 as a joke of course I listened to this song practically the whole time, it was boring but also good, the next year I moved and I had growed distant with everyone there. I’m now in a deep depression and it sucks but I still reminisce about those times, the best times of my life, Thank You T e l e p a t h
I can relate on some level :) Three years ago, the pandemic just hit and I was in 8th grade. From March to June 2020 I used to loop this song all the time. It’s funny because we both know some people might think it could be boring but it’s actually really calming
Saturday night. She’s already left. There’s still scotch in your glass, and the remnants of ice slide and tinkle against each other. Your condo is dark again, illuminated only by the soft magenta and cyan glow of the neighborhood’s neon lights. You look out your balcony in the warm summer night air, peering down the eighteen floors to see the cars race by in the sultry moonlight. Aside from that, the neon glows and hums, and you’re reminded that she’s gone again, and you are standing in your beautiful, modern condo, alone.
If you don't want to feel sad, you should listening to it while driving with a good company (family, friends , etc) , I always have city vibes, good vibes and nostalgia vibes
Imagine yourself in 80s New York, walking down the street as the cold air hits your face. You've finished your shift, and you're heading back to your apartment to rest and prepare for an outing with friends.
Hi I'm the first one! It's always nice to see people who appreciate this music. I've been listening to it since I was 18. Now I'm 22. I think there is something mystical about it, something captivating. Strangely, it can make you feel both melancholic and relaxed. It is pure light converted into sound. Definitely my favorite of telepath. And damn, that guitar part is truly divine. Love you all ❤️
