It’s more about showing off their ridiculous pen game and skillset. Wordplay, rhyme schemes, speed, punchlines, entendres, etc. Tip is in an entirely different bracket where his elite skill is found in his actual song making ability and how he can just sound so slick on a record. He talks that street shit that a lot of ppl can relate to and get hype off. He always sounds perfect over the beat he is rapping on and has one of the best cadences you will ever find in hiphop. By comparing him with someone like Token you are comparing apples to oranges bruh and really missing what makes tip super elite in his style of rapping. No one you mentioned can make an actual song like TI who has literally 20 years of hits, street anthems, bangers etc. Dudes like you in the comments of non lyrical-miracle type of rappers trying to compare the technical aspect of their raps to fuckin tech 9 are corny as shit and simply just don’t understand there are many sub genres within the hiphop genre of music.
