You have to push hard at all times, these carriers are the absolute worst. they staff every department with filipinos and indians, you can barely understand them, you have to push and push, demand to speak to a manager. Expect the line to be "accidentally disconnected" more than once. They're evil.

@@gabriellerumbolo7429 I agree with you 100%, I hope that T-Mobile goes out of business and I hope they stay out of business. Because this is what you're trying to do. They are trying to rip off people unless their goal is to make sure they can make a profit off of people like me and you. That's why we need to basically band together form a lawsuit and put that company out of business! Because this is not right I mean T-Mobile should not have ripped off a whole bunch of people including myself. So as of right now my friend you're the only one that makes me understand when I'm going through and what the other customers are going through. It won't be long before the Federal trade commission and others find out about this and hopefully they can put a stop to it. And once they put a stop to it everything will be okay and hopefully we'll get something done and we'll probably get something that we deserve. Because I can tell you this much right now this is not going to look good. But just to give you the heads up as soon as I get through it paying all these bills off and pay the remaining balance off for the smartwatch and the phone I'm done with it I am no longer going to do business with these people. It is uncalled for and it's not right. And I think somebody should go in there and give them a piece of their mind about what they're doing to people. It is not right. That is not good practice. This promotion was very real, just not with the plan they were on. The store they went to was ignorant. That text was sent by mistake, this news story leaves out that T-Mobile sent out a correction less than 48 hours later. That being said, TMO should have definitely fixed this for her instantly, period. They don't give tier 1 reps the power to do so, so you have to escalate the issue.

You have to be careful with T-Mobile "free" phone deals. The girl at the place told us that they had free phones, expect for the taxes and activation fee. So we asked how much we would have to pay that day. The lady told us that it would be $636 for the "free" phone. I knew it would be some kind of scam tike time i walked into the store. The girl could never explain how the phone went from free to $636. Her only explanation was taxes and fees. We walked out and let them keep their free phone. 😡
@WizardOfWor

Yep, that’s how they & other big, corporate, wireless carriers get unsuspecting & unaware people. “Free phones” & carrier deals to get your phone for cheaper are _all_ scams. It’s *_always better_* to purchase phones factory unlocked _directly_ from phone manufacturers. It may be more expensive doing so upfront, but it’s worth it in the long run. *You’ll* be the one in control. And don’t even think about buying a carrier unlocked phone from a carrier, & think that it’ll work the same as a factory unlocked phone, because they’re _really not_ unlocked like they claim.

That's right I think we all need to start standing up for our rights and I think what else needs to be done? I think the T-Mobile needs to go straight out of business and I think that somebody needs to buy them out. Because look this is ridiculous. I mean this is not something you dream about but what I'm saying is it's not right. People are going to get hurt and that's exactly what happened to me over the last 5 years I got ripped off myself. And the reason why I got ripped off myself was simple most of that was my fault I should have checked things out before I went ahead and did what I did. I made the mistakes and now I'm going to have to live with it. But as of right now I think it is about time that every customer of T-Mobile senior or not need to stand up and start writing to the Federal trade commission and basically our politicians because we are getting tired of this and we are not going to take it anymore. This is not right and this is wrong! That's why I do believe that T-Mobile needs to go out of business and stay out. Because they have no business selling phones to people basically who don't know what they're getting into before they sell the phone. And the same thing goes with the smart watches the tablets and all that good garbage. We need to check these things out before we go in there and sign up for service. Because when we sign up for service we're the ones they're going to get ripped off by that company. And that's what happened to me over the last 5 years. And besides that I had no clue to what's going on. Well now I know. So basically what needs to be done is I think that I may be a disgruntled customer but I'm going to go in there is calm and cool and collective and I'm going to basically speak my mind about what they're doing to people if need be I will get my relative one of my brothers to go in there and really lay the law down on them. Because this kind of nonsense is irrepresentable uncalled for and totally out of character! That is why I say, we need to basically put T-Mobile out of business and put it into this as soon as possible and get back the money that we're responsible for. We didn't pay these companies to rip us off. But that's exactly what happened with t-mobile. They ripped us off now they need to answer for it and they need to pay for it. And they need to pay every single customer the money that they ripped us off for. Because this is not going to do us any good. Because what they're doing is they're putting us in debt by doing that!

Any good T-Mobile rep (in store or not) would know that 55 and military plans do not qualify for free AAL promos, since those plans are already discounted. They would also know that 55 plans also have a maximum of 2 lines (or 4 lines for the new MAX plans) otherwise they would be moved to the regular rate plan. That is why their bill jumped so much.

This is one of the reasons *_why_* it’s _better_ to buy factory unlocked phones directly from phone manufacturers than it is to buy either carrier locked or carrier unlocked phones. You’re in more control & can get any plans you want without any restrictions, like with MVNO’s. The big carriers such as AT&T, Verizon & T-Mobile? They don’t have anyone’s best interests at heart, they only want your money & try to lure you in with their so-called “free” deals & cheaper contract deals to keep you locked in.

T-mibile did one better to my wife and I . We traded our phones in on a promo , one note 20s in mint condition , plus $400.00 towards cost of new phones . T-mobile credited our account 5 dollars . 3 months we have called trying to get this sorted out . Absolutely no one in the customer service side has been able to fix this, and the store location will not show us the original agreement they signed us up for . Even went as far as to tell us they are not allowed to print the agreement for us . Then, after showing our call records to the center , the sales rep says we have to call to get it sorted . I'm done with T-mobile. We've been with them years , but its over . T-mobile is company that takes no responsibility and has a policy of hiding account information .

If T mobile hired these sales reps then aren't they responsible for what they do? Was it up to the rep to make this lady whole, or was that up to T mobile? Does it make them bad that they still have not made her whole? Still gotta pay ten bucks for the line that was supposed to be free? They're not bad huh? Guess it's up to interpretation. I upgraded through T-Mobile but I guess it was financed from Sprint but Sprint is now T-Mobile so it shouldn’t be an issue, but it is! The 55+ program is very specific and it only takes a few minutes to scroll down and read about the program: the store associates were dead wrong for gassing that lady head up and that’s the problem. Most of the time people are so focused on getting new line activations that they forget it’s attached to a paying customer at the end of the day. If you mess up you have to fix it.
@burlenevickrex3801
@burlenevickrex3801 Год назад
Well who fixes it , i have only gotten the run around and issue unresolved. I did not sign up to have to fight for something i wouldn't have gotten if it weren't offered out of the blue, i didn't ask about the offer, i was told about it. Why tell me if i tell u I'm on a budget and my bill cannot be over the expected. 3 times i said that. The application i signed certainly stated 3td line free... Unfortunately i wasn't given a copy , and the one online isn't saying what i read or was told.. sooo what do i do. I'm too old to do this every month. Seniors don't want this hassle. Why are they doing us poor old souls like this.
@woez5009
@woez5009 Год назад
@@burlenevickrex3801 how long have you had the 3rd line? What kind of device is it? Is it still being financed or has it been locked into month to month pricing? You can go to the store you got it from and have them pull up the information for you. Typically the only way to get rid of a line is to cancel it but unfortunately the contractual agreements are still going to apply. Stores will typically try to give you the run around but there are a few tricks that most employees don’t want you to know. I will continue with scenarios.
@woez5009
@woez5009 Год назад
Scenario 1) Your device is locked in a month to month contract. Your “free line” has passed its introductory pricing and they are charging you full price for both the line and the rental charge of the device. From this point you can request they call customer care and go through cancellations to return the phone and close out the line. Please ensure that the device is returned to them (in the same store you got it from, or by mail via a return kit) Request the cancellation is FUTURE DATED otherwise they will charge you proration fees and your bill will skyrocket as a result.
@woez5009
@woez5009 Год назад
Scenario 3) worst case scenario. You get to the store and have the sales person access your account and the inform you that the device still has almost 2 years on it. They’ve already misled you and jacked up your plan at this point so it would be a great time to find a corrective action. Request that they call customer Escalations. Let them know that you were misled about the sale and the salesperson disregarded your finances as a senior and that you can no longer afford the expensive plan and additional device. Threaten to change providers unless the escalation team can offer you bill credits or a reasonably affordable resolution. If customer escalations or the salesperson are unwilling to help AND YOU ARE ADAMANT ABOUT LEAVING THE COMPANY demand that the salesperson give you your account number and pin so when you do end up switching providers you can keep your phone number. Most times the new company will already have 55+ plans available AND in most cases they are willing to pay off the monies owed to your previous company when you switch (please be mindful that it may be paid in part or in total but everything has a time limit so it would be best to confirm with the new company before making the switch)

This is classic TMobile. Ever since we were forced to move from Sprint to TMobile, they have continually tried to increase our bill or overcharge us each month. What they hope is that you will get frustrated and just pay it. Then add the fact that they seriously throttle you service. I can't make phone calks or vica versa or rarely can I use my data. Then when you call to complain, they try to upsell you to a really expensive phone or convince you if you had a more expensive plan the problem would be solved. Why would I pay more when their current service is not working? It was fine for years with Sprint. The only time I get some help is the several times I reported them to the FCC. So, if everyone would just report them, maybe the FCC will finally get it and fine TMobile and make them start using fair business practices. It was a bad choice to let TMobile take over Sprint FCC!

If you watch the reps adding up and quoting your savings , you will see the online signing will not let the rep include discounts and promos not eligible . It simply will not take the entry. That's proof to me they are setting up senior citizens . I switched from cricket for promises of a 20 percent discount and a 3rd line free. Had only been interested in 2 lines at 70 . The rep said i could get 3rd line free and the application accepted it.. I've had to call every month and tell them it's not what i signed up for. If i wasn't getting 3rd line free i should have been told i wasn't eligible for it or discount. They claim cricket isn't a carrier that is within the bracket of "free line or discount". Have they ever said in an ad for us seniors who can't know these things and who trust someone to tell us since we have more than once stated we cannot sign up or switch if our bill is going to be more than our budget allows. I stated this 3 times before signing and the application existed without being rejected as eligible. They can blame miscommunication all they want but TMobile is becoming a seniors worst nitemare by baiting us and trapping us and not helping us receive what we signed up for.. if u sign for one thing and don't get it, it seems to me the contract and phones ur paying off are no longer your responsibility to pay for. Seniors shouldn't have to pay for something they didn't sign for and weren't explained. We are old but that doesn't mean we should be T-Mobiles preyed upon and exploited customers. A company who uses fraud to gain the unknowingly innocent who don't understand the fine lines , isn't a company's money tree. Such disrespect is uncalled for abuse to the elderly in our nation . There should be a law preventing miscommunication abuse and blame .. it's wrong.
