T'pau - Secret Garden 

A tragically under-appreciated song. One of the best songs ever recorded.

One of THE very best bands of 80's.They were a class act. Every song sounded brilliant. And Carol Decker was beautiful.

They were so tight live. Brilliant group .

What a great and underrated band. Brutal voice by Decker and a very consistent band. I dont´understand why Debbie H. and not Carol, for example. Destiny caprices? Decker has got all: presence, voice, sensuality, class, strength...It´s incredible...

I started in the music industry in 1981. Women in rock was where it was at. The girls in music of the last century were tough, aggressive and very creative. I LOVED working with them. I remember when this song hit in the late 80's. One band I played in covered this as well as Heart and Soul. Carol Decker is a singular beacon throughout the years. She always seems to be smiling regardless of how road-worn the tour or how terrible the venue. I finally got hit with the muse to write about my experiences (it's Courtney's fault) over the years by creating a fictional couple coping with the collapse of the industry at the millennium. "...The English viewed the music production process completely differently than in the US. He discovered that there were some real learning experiences to be absorbed from artists who swam in a different sea. Alex immersed himself in the British mindset for a time…British beer, British equipment and technique…and those British women... His creativity thrived on it. It was to be nearly three years before he returned to LA for any real amount of time. And in music, three years is a lifetime..." Thanks for all the inspiration Carol... Kewl-it's a shame that the U.K programs didn't let Carol sing over the top eh! Strange but great to see all this unseen footage hitting RU-vid - keep 'em coming I say!
