Welcome back to Fight Night for the first time in almost two years, damn its been a while. Anyway tonight we will be catching the 2023 Olympic Trials. Yes, its time to prepare for the 2024 Olympics in Tokyo. Unfortunately due to current rules, the US has to send an equal amount of men and women to fill out the 13 weight classes rather than do the right thing and send 13 men & 13 women. So who's going to represent the boys? Well up first is a Flyweight quarterfinal matchup between 19 year old Marcellus Smith from Garfield Heights, Ohio and 20 year old Jordan Roach from Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Smith comes into this fight with a 15-9 amateur record while Roach comes in with a 28-9 record. Smith was the 2016 Junior Olympic Bantamweight Champion, the 2017, 2018 and 2019 seventy pound Regional Prep Champion. Jordan Roach was the 2018 Junior Olympic Bantamweight Champion, 2020 Youth National Champion and the 2022 National Flyweight Champion. Who will win and move on to the Semi-Finals? Let's find out.
