In the beginning I said, "iCom 736 and meant to say, iCom 7300".
The purpose of this video is to show how to build a simple relay box that can control external devices like linear amplifiers, especially vintage and homebrew amplifiers, and other devices that need to be controlled by the SEND relay in the iCom 7300, and other modern day tranceivers, that have a maximum allowable voltage of around 16 volts and 500 mA. With a simple relay box, practically any voltage, AC or DC and current levels below 1000 mA (1A) should be able to be controlled without incurring any damage to your modern day tranceiver.
Also, I might add that if power-line voltages are going to be used on the relay contacts, it is obvious that neither side of the relay control contacts would be connected to the chassis. If you have any questions on your particular setup and are not sure if line voltage is to be on your relay control contacts, you should research the design of the equipment you are trying to control.
