A leading question gives the guest an easy answer they can simply parrot back to him, and in asking it, he is trying to steer the direction of the guest's story. For example, this is bad: “Would you say that was a frustrating experience?” Here’s a better alternative: “What was that experience like for you?” And he needs to stop with the "loved one" bs. This ain't therapy. And if it is, he needs to LISTEN and let the guest talk.
