Rewatching this video after forgetting it was scheduled to go live and... Yeah, it was truly a surprise. The packaging was generic and Amazfit didn't inform me of the shipment. About 40 days later, the Amazfit Balance arrived - surprise, and that was on a Wednesday. Two days later, Friday of last week, yes, another shipment from Amazfit was unboxed ~ the Cheetah Pro, and I did ask them to send me that one out of sheer curiosity. I still love the look of the Amazfit T-Rex 2 (ocean blue special edition) and yet... I think their new Balance with the new sensor, ZEPP OS 3.1, and the different button navigation, yes, it is my new Amazfit favorite. Tomorrow morning I unbox the Amazfit Smart Scale that I purchased last year back in October 2022. I am going to compare the weight & health data from an Amazfit Scale to the Garmin Index 2 scale - will my weight become smarter? Viewers like you and me want to know soon! Brought the amazfit Trex 2 after watching your video, 15K worth of money. Best investment for lifetime. This build quality is easy and we can easily use it for 3+ years. Initially, I thought 15k was too expensive for a smartwatch, oops sorry after using the sports watch, I realized it's a very underrated sports watch + semi-smart watch. Cons: Said by others 1) No call option - Solution: You need to call, connect your phone to both watch and bluetooth headset/earphones, if someone calls you can see who is calling on your watch and answer it on earbuds 2) Message: Solution: Frankly, other smartwatches have message though. Everyone knows it's hard to text someone on that tiny screen - so don't be lazy and reply on your phone.
It was good to read your comments about the T-Rex 2. I still wear mine from time to time as well even though I have the Cheetah Pro and Balance by Amazfit as well. I truly love the look of the ocean blue model and the T-Rex 2 design. As for the phone call features and replying to text messages, yep, those are not deal breakers for me. A notification about a phone call is good enough.
Are the speckles on the T. Rex 2 possibly because they use reclaimed ocean plastic in the production of it? And I have to say, I love the color of that Instinct Solar 2X. Hopefully 3 or 4 years from now when it's on clearance, I can afford 1 LOL.
Yes, those specles are derive from the recycled material Amazfit used to create this Ocean Blue Special Edition T-Rex 2 smart watch. I just love the look of this timepiece. Yeah, if you wait another few months, yes, the price should drop.
Yes, it is a timepiece by... Amazfit. I used to think that Amazfit and Amazon were the same. And that Amazon created the Amazfit watches, nope, I was incorrect.
I just looked at the T-Rex 2 (ocean blue) and I am not seeing an easy way to review the case and access the battery. Most smart watches/smart sports watches are not sold for Users to replace the Lithium-Ion batteries two or three years after the sale. Sorry to give you bad news. Nonetheless, who knows what 2024 will bring from Amazfit, COROS, Garmin, Apple, Withings, Polar, Suunto, and the others. And... Happy Holidays 🎁 🎄 ☃️
