Why in the hell does no one want to make a survival horror game with dinosaurs? Something like Alien Isolation. Edit: to everyone asking, I've played Dino Crisis but the game is quite old now and it would be great if we could get something new. A remake of Dino Crisis would be nice too, like Resident Evil 2 is getting.
There's nothing quite as terrifying as having to flee from something much, much, bigger than you. This is one of the few concepts that still terrifies me.
Alright, I had to pause at 1:28 to take a breath because it's really terrifying. I've had many nightmares about JP's T. rex and this feels like one of them. That being said, this is a masterpiece. If there was a full-fledged survival horror videogame based on this, it would be one of the best gaming experiences ever. The Jurassic Park franchise has so much untapped potential.
Yea me too. T Rexes have always haunted my dreams, my entire 30 years of life. Everytime I see them in movies, (especially the first Jurassic park) or games, it honestly feels so real, and terrifying. People fear the raptors. But I’ll always fear the Rex more.
Han Lockhart watch it's legs. The legs don't get any faster. Why do you have to bring that feminist bs into your argument? If you want it to go away don't even acknowledge it.
Rexy wasn't running in that scene, maybe she had already eaten too, she's not going to chase down all potential prey with the same vigor! plus its also worth remembering that Rexy was a lot older by the time of the events of Jurassic World and Claire knew how to use a flare to misdirect Rexy's attention
"Hey you know that scene of Jurassic Park that gave you nightmares for weeks?" "yeah...?" "Now you get to play it" "Who do you play as, Alan Grant?" "The lawyer" " *_HARD NAH_* "
I’d love a Jurassic park horror game like this, just imagine being stranded on Isla Nublar after the events of the first movie, and you have to escape the island all on your own. Sounds like such a good premise for a horror story!
I've seen several videos for this demo and yours is by far the best! No annoying commentary, no terrible camera work, and you showed off every feature of the game. Great work! 😀
Just listening to this loud with my headphones on is scary enough, let alone when it attacks the car. The person or people making this did a very good job
Just when you thought it was safe when you hopped back in the car and then that same scene from the movie started to play out and you said "NO FUCKING WAY DUDE." And then you died. This felt like VR without the VR.
When the t-rex came up close to the car, it's this type of atmosphere which they haven't been able to recapture in the new movies. That feeling of mother nature turning the tide against you, an absolute force to be reckoned with.
when you're near the restart button at the cabin, i can feel your fear of immense death as the trex coming closer, jamming the restart button multiple time when the trex ran at you full speed. it's like me on a horror game. when feeling imminent jumpscare, pull the power plug
It's funny how much this suggests just staying calm and just watching the magnificent predator from inside the vehicles which have more than likely been washed clean of any prey scent by the rain that the whole situation could have been a lot better.
This brings out the horror that I feel every time I watch this scene, and the reason why the original JP will never be topped. This needs to be a full game. With a little more polish this could go far.
In the car with a new girl (1st date) - put hand on her leg...get a punch...click restart -say her and bit her ear....get a punch....click restart - say her a Shakespeare poetry...
Always made me laugh in this scene when Alan had the Rex in a trance with the flare and then he tosses it and the Rex is like “ayyyyy get back here little light!” But then Ian tries it and fails lol
That was actually Ian's mistake. Notice that the Tyrannosaur was following the direction of the flare when Alan tossed it away? I believe that it would have kept going until it ended up back in its own paddock if Ian hadn't have distracted it.
David Colantuono definitely! I think in Ian’s mind, the thought process was the usual one of us guys not liking being outshined by other guys. Ian sees Alan basically controlling the Rex and is like “oh I can’t let him be the only badass!” and that leads to what happened in the movie. I definitely agree that if Ian had exercised some restraint, the Rex would have wandered back into the paddock, which would have saved Donald’s life as well as Ian’s leg lol
For the entire video, I found myself muttering the same phrase at varying volumes. Sometimes a whisper, often a shout. Rhymes with Duck Shoe. I guess I now know what my last words will be when I meet a T-Rex.
Hi_I_Put_ Virus_In_Computer You meant to say that a real Tyrannosaurus would detect a person by sight? Cuz if thats what you meant to say, then yes, thats true.
Tyrannosaurus Rex Yes! Exactly what I am saying. Fun fact: in micheal crighton's book The Lost World, a guy dies because he stands still in front of a Trex den and the main characters are confused why he is standing still since they know it was debunked
Hi_I_Put_ Virus_In_Computer Oh thats cool. And yeah,I meant stay still in the game.In real life Tyrant lizard king actually had better visual field than a hawk and better visual clarity than an eagle. And he still had enough angle of sight to watch something that was at his side.I also saw that a Tyrannosaurus could see something as small as a bottle of water from 6km (his maximum visual field) super clear.
A survival horror game that follows the events of the book would be great, we could finally be able to experience Jurassic Park in its original r rated form
I had to pause the video after he got out of the car and the trex saw it jfc Should not have watched this in fullscreen. This looks awesome. Imagine this in VR lmao
A frustrated Gamer Hardly. The real T. Rex would likely have sounded even scarier. Not because of what you hear, but what you feel. The stomping noises from the movie? The vibrating glass of water? Your whole body shaking from the force of the sound? in real life, that wouldn't be the sound of the T. Rex's feet hitting the ground, that would be the animal's vocalizations. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VLJrPxyA_Ns.html In addition, a T. Rex would likely be able to hiss like a crocodile or cassowary. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8Hye31i3cUI.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4dcQO6Zb8Eg.html worth noting is that most of these sounds would have been made with the mouth closed.
lmao I got so invested on whether you'd get away. This seems like 'that' level of a game that you reach and after much anger...never pass. I had a game of LOTR and I couldn't even find a way out of the bloody shire to start the game.
+The CineRanter Yes, you're just another one of those people who act all smug and as if you know best about special effects. Nitpicking every single good movie to show how ‘intellectually superior’ you are to everyone else. Just cut the shit.
I don't know what is more funny, the joke about special effects, or the fact that the responses are defending a movie that was not released yet at the time that the comments were posted.
man just watching the trex chase you when you get out of the car is anxiety enducing, if someone made this into some vr game id piss myself more than once
I had a nightmare about being inside a crocodiles mouth when I was five. And I was so terrified to move because I thought if I did it would thrash around and chomp me up. I will never forget that nightmare it was so terrifying. So if shit like this came out when I was younger? (Like virtual reality goggles) I'd be shitting my pants. One of my biggest fears as a kid was being chased by an animal way larger than me. XD
Reminds me when I first saw this movie. I was 5. Brings me the absolute chills when I saw it the first time. Never write comments while watching this at the same time.
Slowly creeped your way out of the Explorer and when the Rex has his back to you, sneak away all the way behind the vehicles to where the shadow is. I found it pretty comical that you can Bounce Around and irritate the Rex and then stay still and he'll come over and look at you but can't find you. :-)
