The first T-rex fossil ever found was a single tooth. From there, it was a matter of a few bones, then a few skeletons, then a lot of misunderstanding, and T-rex's name was finally set in stone. But before it was T-rex, it was called at least two other names, if not three, and there was another name given to it after T-rex as well.
In this video, we talk about how T-rex was named Ornithomimus grandis, then Manospondylus gigas, then Tyrannosaurus rex, then Dynomasaurus imperiosus. Out of all of those names, how did it end up being called the name Tyrannosaurus rex?
