The Print Life Hey Cam, appreciate all the content it has helped me get started. I just wondering what would be the best entry level printer for film positive and are there any good RIP software on a small budget.

What if I wanted to print around the collar. I’m using this template but my art is on top of each other.

Hi cam I like the template idea. On this days we are very busy meaning no time. We are keen to buy a digital copy . Here we use Coreldraw but I sure I can open it ilustrator file. What U think? By the way the 66 thunder is here. Awesome My print life is Kool much better and effective.

I have an older epson 4800 printer. It has been a work horse but it,s on its last legs. I need to upgrade soon.

Yea it would still work, the pallet guide would simple land outside the art board.

Yeah I'm running into the same issue. My films are 13x19 and my platens are 16x18.

@@xxfree2romexx the only thing I can think of is keep the same ratio and just make it bigger than the pallet. So for instance, 13x19 is the same as 16x22. So you can make it 16x22 and it will be bigger than the pallet

They look that way when you creat a library

I want to know this as well!. The pallet is usually 16x20or 22. But my media is 8.5x11. now my art board is way to small and everything thing I did to get to this step seems pointless. What's the remedy?

@@Dusky_The_Husky I have basically found that even with 11x17 it’s on the edge. Most big shops have 13” or 17” roll printers. I think Cam has a 17”. Mine is a Epson 7720. I can get an attachment for roll media. The biggest mine will take is 13” wide. So I’m thinking going forward I am only going to buy 13x19. That design is made for printing it out in the correct spot to center the positive on the screen. Just print it in the middle of the 8.5x11 and place it on the platen in its proper placement, load the screen and press it down and place tape to make it stick to the screen. Then go burn your screen. I have found in just a few months that’s it’s all about what works best for you. Just do your thing and do what it takes to make it work. Hope this helps.
