Fun Fact: This was BY FAR the closest anybody came to actually beating MkLeo at this tournament. Outside of this set, he won 22 games and lost only one: Game 1 of Winners Semis (a best of 5 set).

Obviously, he can't turn back time and training with another character would take a lot of extra effort. as someone who has played mac in the past in wondering how he recovers so well, like is there a technique im missing?

In my opinion, it’s about NOT recovering with a jump at first. It’s pretty much throwing away your recover chances. Sure you can jump if you’re near but be creative and train yourself to not resort to jumping first. You can side B, counter (which slows down his air time), then neutral side air for a lengthy recovery, or a neutral down air (if you’re more under the stage) and then up B. There’s a plethora of ways you can mix it up. Peanut makes recoveries with little Mac seem effortless. Mad respect to him!

You can tell just how good Leo is compared to other people you see peanut fight. I don’t think I saw a single tech chase on a platform from peanut which is his bread and butter almost. Never gave peanut the opportunity to confirm into ko punch, taking it out of the equation entirely. Still won a game though, so great stuff peanut.

What do you mean? Second game was the lame hold below center platform strat, third game was the same but trying to do it with platforms on the sides. All while having three dudes yelling nonsense while being three feet apart of the players. My point is, there was no adaptation whatsoever, just a lame trick that Leo didn't have a complete answer until game three.

Peanut proved to many Smash players that it doesn't matter if a certain character is "low-tier", as long as you are skilled and dedicated enough, you can make that character look like a monster. He tried to do what is called a gazelle KO punch, but inputted the command a little too early/late causing it to be the aerial version of the KO, which can be shielded

@@su9cp Maybe, I actually thought that maybe Leo would try-hard after that comment just to shut their mouth and 3stock peanut but in fact peanut was close to land that KO punch at the end! That would've been just the best.
