To be fair the draft in game 2 was pretty good. They got the botlane they wanted, a good jungler, a strong comfort pick for mid and a counterpick in top. That's a winning draft, but none of the three lanes was able to outperform and Oner had a really hard time because of it. Poppy is great at teamfighting but not that much else and we saw here that she isn't strong enough to be solo tank, at least not when she is the one engaging.
@@michael22000idk why they pick nami + luc ,if they can pick something like jinx + kench and have late game carry, or smalder . Luc is kinda russian roulette , you can win early game and win before enemy goes to the late , but if enemy destroy you - luc doesn't do anything
lucian nami is so fucking trash but since they are good they make it work and it feels strong because if you spike in the midgame you are unstoppable.... until you match against somebody with hands as good as yours and you get turbo stomped because you can't draft at all
Game 2 it worked. Guma just trolled the trade and cancelled the auto. Nami Lucian game 2 should've worked. And Guma trolled a lot of bot exchange. He also didn't have the best culling in the trade where Oner died because of it
@@remveel2443arguments like this r really weird. When you start pointing out small mechanic misplays from left side, its only fair to point out misplays from red side. Peyz and Lehends could have just walked away and let guma live after killing Keria and the trade would have been just as bad for T1.
@@johonogon It's not weird. Because there's rules when you analyze plays. One of them, is accounting that humans are playing the game. Not Gods. Your describing a play that would never make sense in the heat of the moment but is the correct play. That's a play only a robot would do. So you're violating the rule. So it's not weird. As long as you realize that the move you're arguing must be within the realm of human capability, then it's a valid argument. Chess is some of the games where this rule is used so often. Because robots would make the most nonsensical move only to be winning 5 moves later Another application is imagining putting every pro player in the same scenario. If you think the play would play the exact same majority-wise, then what you're arguing for won't work
Flippin' love your casts brother. The perfect mix of knowledge/education and screaming/degeneracy *chefs kiss* Been watching league since season 1 and your vids are right on the money.
There's a reason GenG bans Faker and kept giving Chovy the last pick. GenG just needs Chovy to minimize Faker's actions on the map. Faker's early-mid game laning+roaming is so crucial to T1's success, and the only guy capable of stopping him is Chovy. Chovy usually picks in the first phase or he picks 4th. He rarely picks last against any other team. T1 macro is so reliant on Faker's shotcall and mid prio, and this is why GenG has been so successful against T1. The only guy that can stop Faker in early-mid game is Chovy. I'm actually pretty interested to see how Faker will respond to this GenG tactic. He will come up with a solution at one point, but it will take a long time to solve..
Pretty good take. People seem to respect the hell out of kkOma, so I wonder what his effect on the whole thing will be, other than just brainstorming. Like is this a problem solved easier with a head coach like him (doesn't hurt, obviously), or is it essentially completely on faker to overcome this squeeze
I mean u say that but Chovy's last picks were never really counter picks. Goes Corki into LB first game which is an even matchup and LB is a better early-mid game playmaker. Then 2nd game he goes Ahri into Taliyah + Poppy. Honestly Chovy was just better than Faker this series, last picks or not.
@@waleedalhout LB is only good against Corki when a it’s a 2v2 skirmish in early game. J4 was shut down the whole time, which made Corki win easy 1v1 in lane. LB vs Corki left alone is a favorable matchup for Corki. Also Corki has way better value late game, so Corki is basically a nice pick to counter LB. Corki just has to press W every time LB try’s to do something. Once Corki hits 6 and scales, LB can do nothing. I’ve seen people in the comments act like LB is supposed to lead against Corki, but LB without jungle is useless early game. If LB uses skills on Corki, LB can’t erase waves. LB goes near Corki, Corki just presses E. Also Corki W is basically a counter to LB as I just said above. Corki is easier to erase waves, scales better, affects teamfights more. Ahri game, I agree Chovy played great, he’s the best Ahri in the world. But again, Poppy once again never ganked or came near mid, so Poppy was useless that game. Chovy only had to face Taliyah in lane, and once Ahri hits 6, Taliyah can’t do anything against Ahri 1v1.
I really want t1 and geng to make it to worlds finals this year just to finally see which curse is stronger; t1 geng curse? Or geng international curse?
t1 are at their best when they let keria cook, which they tend to do all the time... and then they put him on nami duty against gen g of all teams. i will never understand it. guma is a great lucian, but spamming lucian nami against gen g with guma and keria's champ pool is criminal behaviour.
because keria's silly adc picks aren't actually good against top teams, he just uses them to stomp against worse players because he is a mechanical god. look at any of keria's games against delight, lehends. when he respects his opponents, he plays a real pick because he knows that the off meta stuff is disrespectful. because T1 stomp bad teams with it so often, their fans often think that keria is best on silly offmeta picks, but it's impossible to play something like ezreal support against a good team.
I swear gen.g created the most i will just counter T1 specifically well and perform mediocre at worlds and they not only have one but two gen.g's in HLE as well
T1 hasn't won against GEN G in 2 years now. GEN G is looking very strong with Canyon, seems like they're both a perfect fit. - GEN G finally found a Jungle that is extremely good and makes a difference. - Canyon finally found a team that's able to capitalize the massive advantage he gives his team. Yet it feels weird, Guma barely even uses Lucian, and after they got insanely stomped on game 1, they proceed to go with it again? It feels weird because for me it feels like everyone on T1 went with picks they don't use very strong. I was expecting a Yone/Aatrox/K'sante from Zeus, but Jayce and then Tristana? Also Keria on Nami when it feels like Nami is one of the champsions in which less impact he can do for his usual shenanigans, and Guma, why not Varus? It's like T1 is so traumatized with GEN G that their picking game shuts down every time they go against them.
Caedrel is the only reason why i got back into watching pro play, he makes it so much more entertaining and easy to understanding watching these games, thanks bruv!

Can someone please explain me how the hell did Chovy hit the Ahri's Charm into faker at 33:59 ????! 🤯 Most insane ahri charm i ve ever seen in my life ❤
That charm was a little bit of luck and a lot of foresight. He angled the charm to travel as much as possible along the path of Faker's ultimate instead of perpendicular to it so it gave the largest window to hit Faker. The rest is a bit of luck in the timing although with Chovy, maybe he just knows the timing perfectly because sometimes I wonder if Chovy is an advanced AI.
it's so funny how ppl r like "well..., geng can't win international tournaments" when they literally have a new roster of 3 new people since last year. we'll be able to test out the "curse" this year for "this" team
7 losses in a row I’m just so pissed at this point. Thought I’d be ok since T1 got their worlds but man losing to the same team especially competing against each other at the very top again, again, and AGAIN is hurting
now they have canyon, a world champion. you could say they had ruler, also a world champion in 2022 and choked but jungle decides the game more than adc in pro.
Sigh. They still can't win. At least this isn't finals. They could, in theory, come back in playoffs, but it just seems kinda hopeless at this point. How is it that winning Worlds would be easier than beating GENG in LCK?
its possible that T1 player lost their thirst to win to be honest(well xcept faker).... its especially possible after winning worlds.... then on gen g side you got chovy and canyon who is thirsty as hell for the win
@@nirvash241If Chovy was thirsty for a win he wouldn't have choked internationally for years. He gets the nerves when its on quarters. It's ALWAYS quarters with Chovy.
@@Geheimnis-c2e eh I wouldn't blame chovy for last year.. PEANUT and doran are running it down... if there's something Chovy don't have its clutch factor... you can't expect Chovy to carry his team just like what Faker sometimes do with T1 He did choke against DRX on 2022 though lol
@@nirvash241I agree, sometimes it's not even that he chokes but he becomes invisible, can't do anything, just farms and I think that's even worse for the team...I dunno, Chovy is a weird case
As a T1 supporter i think T1 needs GENG, they need someone who beats them consistently, their kryptonite. So they can reflect on their wrongdoing and not just stomp every team they face in whatever fashion with whatever picks.
At this point it does feel like a mental block for T1. It also doesn't help that Gen G somehow always has this gigantic skill floor that they can just get away with only studying T1 because no other team in the LCK can seem to pass the skill check to beat Gen G. It is however, unexpected to see Gen G's team synergy click so quickly. Monte said that Peanut was the macro brain that helped Chovy become a much better player, but I kinda suspected that Chovy himself starting from last year has a fully developed macro brain that matches Faker's. The bans in draft definitely favor Gen G as this Zeri and Nautilus ban is awkward as hell and Gen G banning Ori, Senna, and Ashe basically take away most of T1's cooking potential. That said, forcing Lucian Nami makes no sense as they do have their matching counters and Gen G just executed better. It's funny how Gen G ends up being like TSM and the Doublelift Era of Team Liquid.
I wonder whats stronger, the GenG Worlds playoff curse or the T1 mental block against GenG. Anyway we will likely get to see this matchup at two more times this split because of double elim playoffs, which is good because it never disappoints.
@@yohanreyes1775 Im neither a t1 fan or a GenG fan, I just enjoy watching good League. What GenG played in this series was near perfect, they systematically dismantled the best team in the world. I understand the majority of Caedrel's audience are t1 fans so this was probably a dissapointing result for them though.
When I heard Kkoma is back, I had ptsd from the Xerath for Faker drafting. Kkoma may be a worlds level coach but his ‘leave it all to Faker to carry strat’ is tired and will end up with another LPL team winning Worlds. Thank you, Kkoma but with all due respect, please bring back Tom.
T1 seems to be cursed against GenG. GenG literally has a different roster, yet same result. T1 has PTSD, T1 unusually plays passively against them. As long as GenG stays away from them, T1 can win any international tournament.
They cannot win with this GenG MONSTER ROSTER. . They have the best jungle player in the world Canyon, One of the best Top player Kiin, maybe the best mid lane player and improved CHovy, Very reliable Support LEHEND, and ADC Peyz. IT'S A MONSTER ROSTER
@@jaybonline I think they can still win. Gen g are really good i agree, but T1 are at their same level mechanically. it's mainly the drafts that's fucking them, and maybe the lack of aggression they show against other teams... but we'll see. Maybe it's the balance they need lol, they fuck every other team, but gen g fucks them 😅
@@dianamandarina i disagree that they are the same level. Remember, GenG is a new roster and are playing together just 3 months vs 3 years T1. What more if they are playing together for 3 years??.. T1 has better draft on Game2 but GenG win 2-0.

So weird to see all the botlane drafts from previous games only to have lucian nami here... It's not like Luc/nami is a new thing either, everyone knows how it works, what its weakness/strengths are, why force it twice in a row ?
Chovy used to be a lane only player but this year he does the farming thing and also is all around the map. Best individual league player atm by a country mile.
I agree, then he goes to worlds and is a shell of himself. Bro really does look like the best in the world in regular season and playoffs tho for a couple of splits now.
@@dhirajthapa5797 if he wants to cement his legacy he still needs the worlds title. i still remember him afk farming against drx for 4 games straight at worlds but he really has changed his playstyle a lot. nerves will always play a big part tho. if he can stay calm in those high pressure situation there are no limits for this gen g roster
T1 wtf, that Lucian Nami both games like whyyyy. Why change your draft to something that locks Keria's potential and creativity TWICE. Fair enough the first game but not adjusting game two is wild. Also, bring Tom drafts back KKoma isn't it
My idea is different. T1 makes it to playoffs and beyond no matter what. Plus, that game doesn't matter anyways. Try hard drafting does nothing but give more valuable information for the next games they will surely have. T1 went for the Lucian Nami so they limit what they give out to Geng. It's really unorthodox that every game before Geng, T1 was cooking botlane picks and all of the sudden they are fixated for Nami Lucian. They purposefully didn't want Geng to know more And there's a difference between drafting AND actually laning against T1. So even if they could just study the previous games where their draft was good, it won't matter unless they actually play with T1 Atleast that's what I think
@@remveel2443 praying this is the case but its hard to believe t1 would just give up a series to a team they've always lost to. You'd think their only focus during regular szn is beating geng since they're the only team they probs consider real competition

As a massive T1 fan, it breaks my heart to see them lose so hard. To be honest, I did expect them to lose, but man, I never imagined that they would get stomped this hard. Game 2 looked fine until a certain point and I don’t even want to talk about Game 1. Anyways, props to Gen.G for stomping T1 so hard, hopefully they can play like this internationally as well. The game aside, I never imagined Caedrel’s stream to be flooded by such toxic T1 haters. Seriously man, is it really necessary to hate a team to support your team? Screw this dude, it’s so frustrating to see them lose to Gen.G every single time. Can they stop being T1’s kryptonite? Whatever man, BRO clears these FRAUDS anyways.
Thanks for being positive. As a GEN fan, I am always scared of T1, despite recent history. You can like your own team but still see how strong the opponents are. One day, I still hope Chovy will get his first international title. Also yeah, GEN gonna get gapped hard by BRO. Somehow it just always happens.
So true, tom drafting was insanly good, but they drafted like bottom tier team this series, whats their random obsession with lucian its just bad dont pick it lol
@@Marco-qt5nvI’m guessing since they’re locked for playoffs they don’t want to show Gen G any counters they may have worked on. If they reveal their counter in playoffs Gen G has less time to prepare. That’s probably copium but Kkoma is known to do that.
Prioritizing short range Lucien without any Frontline that can provide CC, poppy was good 2nd game, but why first time Tristana? And that too against Renata who turns adc's against you? My biggest take was how they put Keria on Nami 2 games in a row even though he is known for being a playmaker, it soooo reminded me of 2017 Ardent Censor times when Faker was put on Karma Ardent bot duty just for the sack of meta. T1 wins when they create meta of their own and not follow it.
the anti spoiler plant is criminal i kept thinking why is the video so long when t1 is getting fisted raw are they gonna do a massive comeback but no it was THE FUCKING PLANTT

If they keep up their form, definitely. Kiin has had shaky moments but shows up when it matters and is still far better than Doran. Canyon took some time to get into stride but looks like he's once again one of the best, if not the best jungler itw. I was worried about Lehends replacing Delight after how good Delight was last year (especially on Rakan), but Lehends looks really good this year especially on picks like Nautilus (let's not talk about his Ashe). And Chovy and Peyz are consistently phenomenal. Chovy looks like the best player itw at the moment, and it's not close. At this point if GenG couldn't still win Worlds this year, I don't know what will. They are the 2024 version of 2023 JDG. They have a strong toplane, strong rookie with a veteran support, World champion and the best jungler rn and best midlane rn. Last year was Anomaly, on how a superteam like JDG, which on papers had the best roster surpassing T1, couldn't pull it off.
Last year definitely wasn’t an anomaly, 2022 DRX was an anomaly. T1 was considered one of the tournament favorites coming into worlds, sure people might think JDG has a better roster but T1 was never out of the conversation. And idk how you can tell that Gen is the new version of JDG when it’s only domestic games at this stage of the season. KT was winning almost every regular season games and they weren’t considered a super team, GEN was spring and summer champions and at worlds they just choke always, I don’t believe in superstitions but there is literally no other explanations until they can finally show up at worlds.
GenG was meant to win the one DRX won and JDG was meant to win the one T1 did. If Chovy and Kinn can show this type of form in worlds, they have a chance but history has shown otherwise. Canyon always performs on international tho, so lets see.
seeing kkoma wearing the T1 colors again makes me so happy he is the goat coach that brought T1 their 3 world championships and i cant wait to see what this roster can do with him in the coaching position.
Props to geng, very well played and prepped. Game 2 was a bit of a tragedy, some big mistakes costing dearly Dx between that and whichever entity lehends made a contract with for those zero hp moments lol.
Ok sooo... I think the reason T1 is always choking against geng is because their playstyle is heavily countered by geng. Geng tries to play minimizing mistakes and scaling really well, they have good macro and team synergy was really good this game. T1 on the other hand looked too over the place bc i think their playstyle is a bit more reactive and risky like that baron play in Game 2. Sometimes (most of the times) it works but not with geng. Synergy was off as well and players did not look comfortable with the draft, i wish they stopped the Lucian Nami bs bc it is sooo bad. Keria with enchanters is not bad at all but they are always playing like this against geng and is doesn't work. I think keria likes to play champions that can make more risky plays and outplay enemies. And Zeus, i saw this coming b4... the aatrox duty is not going to work long term. I just think in t1 vs geng series, t1 is very uncomfortable in gengs playstyle and drafts are really bad, i wish they were more loyal to their playstyle and not have those safe comps against geng. I'm not sure if it's 7L in a row but that should already mean there's something to change! Anyways props to geng they played really well and I'm in love with chovy's ahri, it is beautiful to see. Sorry if my english is kinda bad, i speak spanish TT
T1 got cocky and didn't prepare properly. You can see it from their draft and playstyle; GenG cannot be bullied like other teams. Also don't understand what the casters were saying about T1 having the edge in drafts. Game 1 they gave away Ksante, Rell and Corki. Taking Lucian and LeBlanc?! They are all squishy with zero engage. Lucian/Nami is dogshit and Keria can't do Keria things. And they did it TWICE! Giving Rell up again second game was the nail in the coffin. They got smashed no excuses. Their draft this game was so bad and so unlike their other games.
I know T1 was trying to be more serious with drafts against geng but I feel like they HAVE to cook at least one game against geng specifically...geng studies t1 too well and predicts their every banpick (like the gragas ban in game 2) but it means that if t1 pulls non-textbook, unconventional stuff to surprise geng things could go differently
Nuts that they play Lucian Nami and just throw away bot prio, when so much of the success from worlds on has been through bot pressure creating opportunities for Oner and allowing Zeus to scale. Picking a poke comp with Jarvan, an AD-heavy comp into Ksante, whoever is drafting is just dizzy today.
I'm a huge t1 fan and i have to admit that today t1 were so bad. they were so so SO...bad. oner did nothing. NOTHIIIIIING!! 😖😤😭 usually t1 is that team no matter how far they are behind in the early game, always come back when team fighting. But every time they face GENG they always lose their grip. No macro, no flanking, no team fighting, no neutral objectives nothing. It's like they were hypnotized. Anyway well played geng 🔥🏆
Man open comments , Man see t1 fans fiding excuses as always , Man happy. Hopefully geng blg jdg gonna show them that this team is only good at worlds , so when t1 loses worlds t1 fans will have no arguments , as the only argument they have is won worlds xD
Bros you have to understand Arnold had kkomas kid hostage - thats why they drafted LCS style and also forogr to turn on their headsets... Abysmal performance on team work but mostly in draft - not only the champs but also how/when they picked them... just depressing tbh.
I think GEN, and especially Chovy just have T1 and Faker figured out. They looked less convincing vs other teams than T1, but they were still able to counter T1 perfectly. Story is completely different at internationals though
I mean as a t1 fan I'm not even surprised anymore it's just normal by now even with different jg and top they're still getting dunked on but sometimes you do see glimpses of t1 possibly winning like that one time at MSI but nahh probably not
@carlorossi-nk3ek I think it's going to depend on the jungle meta to see how much he'll thrive. I did enjoy watching his DW champion season. Chovy still gonna choke, though.
@@fobinc hopefully not again 😅 Chovy has the potential to be a champion he showed that domestically but he mental blocks when he faces LPL teams (that BLG series was heartbreaking). But he did well against T1 in Worlds last year. This team with Canyon and Kiin is his best chance so far. Wishing he delivers
I mean just from the way they were drafting and reacting to the loss makes it clear they couldn't care less about winning this series since they are already locked in for playoffs. Why give your strongest competition a glimpse into what you are planning for when it actually matters. Still frustrating to watch though.
It's really strange watching T1, it's the 3rd year in a row that it seems like they don't care about LCK, it seems like they are training for MSI or Worlds...
its not even playoffs, so its easy to think t1 had no reason to show any cooked comps and picks they tried to win with somethind low tier and failed though and got outplayed multiple times in micro and macro, so it doesn't look good either way
