0:24 Look at that minion +I accidentally added the translation meant for 5:20 at 5:32 instead. While Sylas is using his Q, he can’t use E, so he has no way to escape. Faker times his taunt charge precisely as Sylas targets the two melee minions
But TES also did play quite poorly at several crucial moments. Take a look at 6:20 and tell me that this isn't a terrible dive. Gnar didn't even need to do a fancy flash ult or anything, they just decided to walk under tower when he was clearly about to mega. Also take a gander at 7:02 and explain to me why JackeyLove doesn't just absolutely guarantee the hook doesn't land by staying behind the wave; this is an abysmal mistake. T1 definitely made several outplays, but the argument that TES played poorly completely holds up as well.
4:25 notice that Faker was never in vision until Galio popped his stopwatch so the charm can hit There's also a nice play in game 3 (around 32:50 game time) that I haven't seen people talked about; T1 sneaks the Baron with Poppy and Camille while the other 3 members (especially Guma) purposefullly show up on vision to trick TES into thinking they're not doing Baron. Only when Baron got chunked to 2/3 HP did Guma turn back and burn it down, by that time it's too late for TES to react, 369 TP'd too late to join the fight making it almost a free Baron if Faker didn't die.
All 5 of them are unique players and the synergy they have together is priceless; each one of them does their job perfectly, this roster has been, without doubt, the strongest T1 in history, wether they win or not worlds this year
@@lbguitar Overrated. I have been watching since 2014 and none of the teams in 2015 or 2016 (T1 included) come even close to today's GenG, 2023 JDG, or 2023/2024 T1. Faker was always insane mechanical and very smart player but over the years with all the knowledge he is adquired he has transcended into a Master Strategist way way more valuable than his younger self. It's not even close.
@@zeyphel9321 Performance is relative bud. You can't compare todays athletes directly against athletes in the past. You have to put into context the rest of the playing field. Pro teams were literally ff'ing professional matches against 15/16 SKT. Faker was playing things like Master Yi mid and stomping at internationals. Individually, everyone is a better player than they were years ago, but if Faker plays Master Yi mid against even a team like BRO, they will lose now. The gap between the worst and best teams is smaller than ever, which is natural as a game matures and gets figured out by more people. But in context, if you're telling me 2024 T1 is more dominant that 2015 SKT, recency bias is in your driver's seat.
@@lbguitar How comical. I find It amusing that the very guy who is blinded by Nostalgia Bias is talking about preferences. I am sorry to bring you the bad news but your simply terrible at analizing games. If that was the best comparison you could make out of 2015 to 2023 then you should probably stick to simply enjoying the games. Skills, Mechanics, Strategies, Game Complexity, Everything has evolved compared to 2015. The game is way more complex now and being a mechanical god won't make your team stand out as much as before. Current T1 has evolved from their previous mistakes each year, and they have evolved into Monsters. Specially Faker. Current T1 would 3-0 2015 T1 flawlessly. It's like putting cubs to fight against lions. A cub may have more energy, but the Lion that is current T1 has uncomparable experience to exploit even the smallest weakness. You ought to leave your Nostalgia behind and be objective when analizing teams. Just try to compare 2015 Semifinals to 2023 JDG VS T1 Semis. It's like watching teens playing soccer and on the other side the finals of the Champion's League. It's a joke.
A small detail. The gnar instant E-R is a tech. Normally when you E-R you have to finish the jump to r. But if you time the jump so that the bar fills up mid jump, you can ult instantly. Not sure if it's still like that
As a Gnar main, that is half true. Yes you can instantly cast R if the rage bar reaches 100 while you jumped with E on an enemy. But even if you're already transforming and cast E to transform, you have a very very small window to cast R mid jump. You have to kinda spam it so you get it right cuz the window is very small. If you go in practice tool and try it you will see that if you transform and cast E, your ulti will light up for a millisecond, during which you can cast it
Naaah. Maybe Keria alone did this, although I do think he will try to play Lux next to get her skin like he wanted last year. The rest of the team hardly look like the champs they would get skins. The game Vs Pain is probably the closest to what they will pick skins for: Rumble, Vi, Yone, Draven and Renata. Although I don't think Faker will pick Yone, probably Ahri again or Neeko.
Faker just keeps blowing my mind year after year, even with his illustrious career when he could easily retire - he still finds a way to stand tall with the best on the planet
5:20 I've seen Uzi reacting here saying that Creme was getting caught by that Galio W for no reason but you can see Faker timed his W predicting that Creme will try to last hit both minions using Sylas Q making it impossible for him to dodge it (Edit: He could've actually flashed)
4:39 I think Faker's charm timing here is the most worthy to mention since it guaranteed the kill unto Galio. Galio at that time still has flash and ult up, so if Faker didn't manage to time the charm properly there, Galio would have been able to flash away and probably managed to coordinate with a Rell engage + Galio ult on the next sequences.
Flash yes but he wont have time to ult since all angles he will still be stuck in the pit, too much cc cancels from T1 he will never charge ult in time
At 4:12 they did not entirely wanted just the Baron here or flip it, they really want the teamfight BEFORE getting the Baron, you can already tell how 2 of them positioned in that long brush. They fished for TES face-checking members then they will burst them. TES got a whiff of what T1's planning, so they cautiously just stared at the abyss of that river, hoping that T1 just starts Baron. T1 again tried to feign taking Baron by having just atleast Guma hitting Baron, and this is where TES made a mistake. TES's scrying orbs game info that they're threatening to get Baron since they saw Guma hitting it, but they did not have info enough where are the others in the pit and what are they doing. Since Guma is the highest damage threat at that point and is quite far AND they already saw the position, they thought it's slightly safe enough to move towards them Then, BAM! T1'S just sitting right at the alcoves of the river paths in mid lane just to catch one out-of-position TES member and made it an uneven fight. This is where I think TES has shown a huge macro misplay and where their teamplay cracks are showing
the fight at 1:15 into the video, camlle R breaks up the fight so guma's ult will hit, and faker's uses zonyas so that camlle E is back up by the time he is out of it, so zeus can stun and help him survive longer
@@gabsterrivera5674that's not how throw works lol. A crucial mistake is different from throwing. And I believe it to be the former. They were on the edge that Keria's pyke plays prior to this gave them the desperation of taking him down but Keria got the best of them.
5:33 before this situation, Keria faked steps to bottom, then suddenly change the direction to mid. So the whole TES team thought Keria going bot. So TES clustered around bot but Actually Keria go mid and the situation at 5:33 happened
For the "wave timings" 0:24 you can always look at map and at your own minions, since they're mirrored on spawn. Not saying he doesn't know them but it's a useful tip to know exactly where enemy wave is
4:00 you forgot the tiny detail before this part making this possible. T1 pretended they were looking for a fight mid to keep Rell staying while giving Keria a chance to base, this tiny difference in Supp reset led to full vision control on baron for T1 and forces TES to face check right into Faker's Ahri. So beautiful how they played this series.
Never been this early before :DDDD also, Thanks for the detailed explanations on how the plays went down, the analyzation is spot on keep up the great work!
5:22 actually pyke Q and galio W casted at the same time. So if Sylas is out ranged the Galio W, he still has the posiblity to be hooked to the Galio W. T1 trained the combo Galio + Pyke before the match
That 2:09 faker play is legit insane, as he know which is the biggest priority that can harm the team, having to focus himself and the enemy so far away (Tristana) Also dodging rumble in the process, that amount of reaction time.. Anyone would usually protect themselves first, by using leona stun on rumble, or perhaps even steal rumble's ult instead Faker plays for the team, amazing leader
5:20 The tower starts hitting the healthy melee minion, so if Sylas touches the low hp melee minion, he knows he will mess up the wave (Sylas passive) and cannot have all 3 melee minions. Sylas will wait for the tower to hit melee minion twice and sweep with Q so he can have both the minions, but Galio reads this intention and starts charging taunt a split second before Sylas casts his Q. Sylas cannot move while casting Q, making him vulnerable to Galio's taunt. Pro gamers are crazy..
By the way, I think you missed a detail. At the 36th minute of game 3, after Guma's triple kill, T1 did not think they could finish the game because they ran out of minions in the midlane. However, there was one minion remaining and thanks to T1 protecting, they was able to destroy TES's inhibitor.
1:35 This is just my opinion, Guma can flash immediately to secure Faker, he can take that ivern Q, it has no damage and he still can AA creme, so Faker can use his w to heal and not die
As well , at 1.18 , guma and kerya dodged r from leona , who didnnt activated her after shock , so she was os because she has no additional magic and physical armor ^^
Everyone in T1 is just playing out of their minds, especially Keria, so much impact, so much confidence from his plays TES fought well, but T1 just outplayed the teams fights and snowballed the game
7:04 you forgot to explain that sylas think that hook will throw to him because keria is facing him that’s why kaisa is not focusing on her position, but they don’t know that there is no vision of T1 there
The second clip where sylas burnt the ult to chase faker's Ahri, if i rmb correctly the timer for the stolen ahri ult was ending anyways so Creme juz sent it
Not only toxic fans discredit TES' capabilities but also T1's clean masterclass play. They say TES played bad but no, they are 2nd Seed from LPL for a reason. I really hate people who say those things thinking they were better than the pros but are hardstuck bronze in real life. Give all these pro players who competed in this Tournament the honor they deserved. They are all the best in the world literally.
One thing that I like a lot of Faker is that he gives a shit for the KDA. Another top class mids are always risking less and farming KDA by instinct. Faker is a master on create oportunities and space for his carries to let them clean the teamfight. And that's a thing he is doing especially since he is not a mechanical demon anymore. He is a robot designed to win.
