Still love my E5. It's very good at getting through the armour of the big German heavies while having enough DPM and mobility to deal with mediums. Winglock is a dufus lol.

I saw an M103 not long ago at Camp Roberts in central California. Properly hefty turret on that thing. From what I understand it's not that the M103 was deemed good enough, it's that the whole heavy tank concept became obsolete. Bigger gun needs bigger turret needs bigger tank etc, but the 105mm L7 plus huge advances in ammo made them good enough to make the M103's 120mm unnecessary while keeping much better mobility. Basically heavy tanks were made obsolete by the Universal tank or MBT. M103's, British Conquerors, and the russian IS heavies were all a bit of a dead end.

This is literally my favorite tank in the game. Imo it can do anything very well and is just all round strong.

The reason why this tank never came into being is because during 1960s HEATFS and Sabot shells progressed so far they could pretty much make the armor of any vehicle worthless unless you made the vehicle logistically impractical (something like maus lol). Most tank producers in Europe and eventually USA went for light and less armored vehicles with extremelly accurate and hard hitting guns and great optics (leo 1 amx30 m48 etc) for long range engagements. USSR however still made their T-10 tanks (is8 in the game) but eventually they too opted for medium tanks instead.

Wild. I started watching you back in 2016. I quit Blitz in 2019 but I'm still subscribed. Seems like in some ways it hasn't changed much.

Heeeey! You forgot that the E5 now has the Improved-speed-boost consumable available, making it absolutely fly! You can relocate it like a light tank now! ;)

May be they didn't know about the "improved speed boost" and "reactive armor" consumables in 1940s when they "doodled" the e3 and e5 tanks xD.

We can appreciate watching these old videos a bit more nowadays. It seems to be the only way to enjoy the game anymore. Played for hours and hours tonight before finally realizing, I haven’t had fun in one single game! Every game is a heads or tails coin flip as to who is going to steamroll the other team. It’s either 7-0 or 0-7 with hardly any in between. Grinding is an absolute nightmare. You either lose a 3k+ dmg game or win with just 500 dmg. Either way there’s no XP to be had. And oh how incredibly infuriating to play a tank in role only to find your team has abandoned you. Then you’re either immediately surrounded by the entire enemy team who has decided to rush one flank, or you’re surrounded 47 seconds later after they’ve managed to clear your entire team with 5:30 left on the clock. What a train wreck. It may be fun to someone who just wants to play casually, but if you’re grinding tanks or trying to improve your stats but are already above 50%, you might as well give it up!

I started playing the game again, bought the battlepass to make sure I have a reason to play. Dropped it 2 months ago because mm progressively got worse, players making a 5 year old baby seem more mature than them, troll clans and players that can't be banned no matter how much we beg wg to kick them off the game.

E5 was the first tank I drove over 1k battles way back in the day so obviously I’ve always liked it. Before they removed that god awful tumor, it was always called the jack of all trades but master of none, and best as a peak a boom tank (if the angle was correct) because hull down the tumor was so easy to pen. Now I think it has its true identity as a hull down monster, but still has that versatility to go medium flank etc. It’s probably the most well rounded/ versatile tank at tier X. Although the mid tiers are clearly pay to win with very OP premiums (which I’m fine with), I think WG has done a very good job of keeping tier X fair and balanced the way it should be. In fact, some tech tree tanks (Kran, E5, 50b, E3 etc) are superior to premiums (Badger, T95E6, WZ 115a, 30b).

Your second game has become the normal. 39 - 40% players running around in Tier 10 who are CLUELESS Aron what to do.

Idk why but the T95E6 looks like exactly with the Chrysler design (T110 proposal 3 aka TS31 aka T110E5)

Super armored hulls are not so meta because hulldown gods just show for less time, peek-a-boom with a Maus/IS4 just means getting prammo'd by a Grille/183.

Fun fact about the t110e5 The t54e2 shark was an early prototype of the e5 project Then the t54e2 became its stand alone tank which lead to to the m48a1 then a5 patton And one chassis was designed for the e5 originally but then project was scrapped as the patton was just an overall better tank So the e5 hull did technically exist before it got scrapped

The main reason the e5 wasn't even made as a prototype was the fact that heavy tanks from a practical standpoint were very impractical when a medium can be faster and have the same gun and be cheaper to produce.

Watching how that player played me was like watching a human being skinned alive..absolutely horrendous. Worst part is that he watched ads for god knows how long just to buy me while most other players would just drop 20k gold to get me :)
