It’s my 1 year diaversary!! For those of you who don’t know what that is, today marks my one year mark with being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Over the past year, my entire life has been flipped upside-down and so many things have changed. Because of this, I decided I would make a video sharing my story of diagnosis and what my life afterwards has been like and to help others who have also been newly diagnosed. As scary as this journey was at first, I have come so far and am now much much healthier. From having levels that should’ve put me into the ICU, to now having levels my endocrinologist applauds me for, I’ve learned a thing or two about taking care of myself. I’ve learned how to put myself first to care for my health while also being able to enjoy and live life to the fullest. Thanks to all the new technology to manage my t1d, I can virtually do things like a normal person. This video focuses mainly on the day I was diagnosed and the weeks that followed.
