Really sad to see Brandon King in pain, and worse, that he could miss the rest of the competition. However, could his demise be possibly a blessing in disguise? It is said that every cloud has a silver lining. Could we possibly see someone (whom I firmly believe should have been a fixture in the team) get their opportunity, and be that "silver lining" - a proper batsman who consistently plays proper cricketing shots, also plays the "the muscle shots" well, runs well within the wickets and actually shows the aptitude for looking for singles, and his record across multiple formats clearly indicate a good cricketing mind. We cannot play everyone, that's a given - their are only 11 places. But I really cannot see how this individual could not have earned a place at the expense of certain other(s). The team needs stability on a consistent basis.

On what basis was the moderator so confident the West Indies would triumph over England? Our weakness to spin bowling was clearly on display again...there was a huge amount of dot balls...and teams such as England and Australia seem to not have a knack of outplaying us not just with their brawn, but with their brain...

Otherwise, it seems their fate may be as I anticipated but did not hope for, i.e., South Africa and England will advance to the next stage

I think that the West Indies will now need to win the matches against South Africa and the USA, convincingly, to ensure a superior NRR, and also hope that South Africa beats England convincingly. These are not expected to be easy feats...
