I'm still doing very well with the 105mm gun. Did 4600 damage and 3600 yesterday in 2 games. I would play with the small gun if premium rounds weren't so expensive. 4000 a shot is a lot even with boosters.
Unlike most tech tree tanks, T29 never had a fantasy "big PP" His 105mm gun was the real gun in real life! - so odd a 90mm should even be discussed as a good option ? ? ?
The average player will only see the matchmaking of your first match in the first five games they play in the T29. Skill, I don't know how you show so many top tier games, but your videos have way more top tier games than my game play has since back before 0.9 release.
I only play tanks now that don't need to use gold ammo to be competitive, K-91 is one of my favourites, I stopped playing my comet as it was costing 20k per game, same with all the sherman style tanks.
I think it is more OP now with 90mm, then before with 105mm. Now I will get 3rd mark way easier then before... And points for ACE are so low right now, that I scored like 5 or 6 in approx 30 games. I love it now more then before...
i will try it, currently i have a long way to go with my crew, equipment or even field modifications, BUT! i could use the 90mm gun with 20 regular rounds, 20 premium, some explosive and intuition, so, with that i could choose the best ammo fast, remember, a lot of medium tanks do not have good penetration neither, so, to me, i could use the premium ammo just when i had to face heavy tanks and regular for the rest.

I have given up the IS 122mm a while ago. I use the stock turret 100mm with binocs. Yes I use a lot more APCR but with ,32 dispersion a six second reload plus the gains on traverse it is more efficient. Those tanks did rule until premium ammo became common.
@@atrium2682 Yes. It does have a surprise effect as you can shoot other heavies weak spots without even getting spotted. It is a legacy experiment where I took concealment to 23% on the IS so the crew is full camo. I am using what used to be called heavium IS setup. Heavy medium.
When I played those soviet HTs, as long as there was an option I never went for 122mm (KV3 being exception). Yes, once upon a time that DMG gives you a smile, but most of the time it misses, hits the wrong spot and fails to penetrate - not worth it. Than you have to wait ages for reload. I was always called stupid by "experts", because "we know that these tanks are played upon damage per shot", but I constantly got much better results with 100mm. And now, as HE ammo is killed, even that reason for 122 is dead. Btw. KV-1 with 57mm needle gun is a beast.
The strange part is he needed gold in exactly 0 situations he was in during all the games. You could argue the t28 proto, but he was on the sides and he shouldn't be trying to front 1v1 him anyhow with arty in play. 160mm pen covers about 89%or so of tanks he will face in t7 and gold should be for the t8+ he can't pen.
I've been out of the game since just after last Christmas.......... I've missed you 😍. Love your videos. Played 4 games in the T29 earlier this morning. Maybe one kill, decent damage but not good enough. Search Skill T29....... next game.... 4 kills and highest damage and a win.
the blinds shots were HE rounds he fired no blind gold and yes he did hit the hellcat blind with 1 might splashed with 1 other the HE round only cost 255 so all 4 of them 1020 credits not 17,600 he fired 18 shots hit 14 pined 11 for just over 22k in the red
Tanks Skill! It's been a while Think I'd rather pay a monthly fee, then be nickel & dimed to infinity with WOT. It's sad they can't get their sh*t together, instead of trying to milk out their base.
