Hoping I don't have an overheating issue and don't have to do this, but I saved your video in case I need to add better cooling! Thank you!

Hey all. First of all thanx for this Video ! I did this Modification because after a Maximum of 2 Rounds on the Nürburgring my T300RS overheated and turned the FFB down alot. After the change to the Noctua Fan i can say this: its absolute Bullcrap!!! I measured the Noise with the old original Fan and with the new Noctua Fan: Result - Exactly the same Noise Level! No difference whatsover. Ordered another Noctua Fan coz i thought maybe its faulty: same Result! And the worst: the Force Feedback Motor overheats same as fast as with the original Fan!!! So save your Time and dont do this Mod. Believe me. At least in my case it didnt make any difference in Noise or Temperature. There must be another way to get this working right… with a second Fan or more and bigger holes in the Top Case of the Wheel.

Do you mean the Nürburgring GP track or the long one? My noise dropped by about 10db (maybe a bit less). My T300RS is about 5 years old, maybe they changed something in between. The FFB performance changed from about 30 min to 60 minutes without any loss of FFB. I am sorry that it didn’t worked out for you and you wasted time and money. Maybe also the ambient temperature plays a big role.

Turn on the Forced Mode on the T300. Mode + 8 at Same Time. Fan will be always on.

The noctua fan has slightly lower airflow than the stock (17cfm vs 19cfm IIRC) fan which is why you don't see much of a difference. I opened up all of the slotted vents by removing those plastic pieces wbjxh cover about half of each of the slots. I also used a drill to open up all of the fake ventilation holes on the top. It's slightly better than stock becaue it reduces the restriction of airflow into the case. I'm thinking of putting second exhaust fan on the right side of the case. I think that noctua fan comes with all the adaptors to make that possible. There is also a 60mm delta fan on Newegg tjst has about 40cfm of airflow which is like double the stock fan. If I go thst route I may buy a usb to fan header adaptor so you don't need to hook it up to the fan header in the t300 and risk overloading it.

the standard fan has a CFM rating of about 23.9(?) if i recall correctly, and reaches circa 3800 rpm. The noctua replacement I looked at was only crica 17 cfm and I think spins slower. Its hard to find a fan that can be as quiet as original and with similar CFM but, i noticed users recommending against the noctua one, when i was reasearching........

The original fan CFM is about 13, I don't know where you get that 24 from 🤣

Oh wow its incredibly difficult to fin 3pin to 2pin adapters, no longer available or I get the wrong results when looking. What was the issue with the wrong cable you tried?
@ToneIncident
@ToneIncident Год назад
You're right about that. Unfortunately, the cable is no longer available. At 0:20 you can see that the plastic has different grooves, you can cut this off with a cutter knife (but then you probably have to glue the plug in). Maybe this cable will work: m.de.aliexpress.com/wholesale/3-pin-to-2-pin-adapter-fan.html?catId=0&initiative_id=AS_20230223014053&SearchText=3%20pin%20to%202%20pin%20adapter%20fan&spm=a2g0o.productlist.1000002.0&gatewayAdapt=Pc2Msite

@@ToneIncident in the end, I figured since its a pre-owned outside warranty anyhow, to just splice the original fan cable with a noctua adapter for a fanhub setup :) Did find a singular adapter cable locally available as backup though
