T4S1 Rob Miles - Make your own musical instruments with Python and Pure Data 

Making music is great fun. Making music using your hardware and software smarts is even more fun.
This session shows how to create MIDI devices from cheap as chips Raspberry PI PICO devices and connect them to a Raspberry PI based sound generator powered by the Pure Data graphical programming language.
You'll learn about Python on PICO, how MIDI (musical instrument digital interface) moves music around and how to create Pure Data patches containing synthesizers and samples. There'll be lots of demos, including a mini concert featuring the world-famous PICO MIDI Cheesebox keyboard and Crackers MIDI controller.
