Careful what you wish for. From many accounts I've heard, this figure is awful quality and despite how great it looks it is the worst TransArt release. Apparently a lot of folks have experienced overly stiff joints and breakages.
Funny how no one has complained about it mostly being a shell former aside from that the reason the chestplate comes off originally on the toy was so it would not be a molded in piece needing paint
I don't know about this one. She looks good, and would be awesome to have her next to my MP Blackarachnia, but I'm bothered that she doesn't have a wrist pivot, also bothered that the socket for the 3rd leg breaks when it's attached to the body. 2:28 Might need to see other reviews of it.
6:24 😒 Can it not be properly transformed to beast mode with all robot mode parts still attached? If you close it up, do the pieces make contact to scratch?
Dark Scream and Slapper from Transformers: Robots in Disguise (2001)/Car Robots in this @ 7:05-7:22 with the others. Dark Scream is the recolored version of Beast Wars Transmetal 2 Maximal, Nightglider and Slapper is the recolored version of Transmetal 2 Pedacon, Spittor. I don't know if that Stinkbomb or Gas Skunk from Transformers: RiD (2001) because they look more like and almost have the same colors. The Predacons in Transformers: Robots in Disguise (2001) are pretty much recolored versions of the toy-only Beast Wars Transmetal 2 Transformers. I wonder if the Predacons in Transformers: RiD (2001) are considered as Transmetals 2.
One step is missing, the lower abdomen needs to be rotated in order for the spider butt panels to sit flush and peg in correctly. When done correctly everything sits flush and easy even with the bra still on
Just got this and want to let people know to be super careful when folding the spider legs as they are super tight out of the box! Support with both hands at the joints and bend at the joints! There were times I thought I would break the legs because I had to use so much force. Beautiful figure btw.
@@hazeshiro2673 Sorry to hear about your unfortunate accident. TransArt should have used a Phillips screw at the joints. That way people can loosen the screw if the joints are too tight.
@@Runningbowels Yes, while all of her joints are too tight, my main problem is the spider legs. The legs are way too thin to hold the force that's required to fold the extremely tight ratchet joint. They should have used softer plastic with just ball-joints on the spider legs (like any Hasbro's spider transformers figures). I really like the figure, of course. I just wish it could be more durable, especially because of the cost.
Got mine in the mail today. A beautiful looking figure, but absolutely *terrifying* to manipulate. Although constructed well & of decent quality, it's a very delicate figure. The joints on my copy were *extremely* tight. Coupled with fairly thin plastic (due to the necessarily dainty character design), this figure is prone to easy breakage. Getting the spider's legs to bend for the first time is *particularly* scary. Thankfully, my figure is still in perfect condition, but I imagine for people who like to play with their figures more than just display them, the delicate nature of this figure will become a problem sooner rather than later. Aside from that, it's a good thing the spider-backpack is removable - it's incredibly awkward to maintain in robot mode. It gets in the way of everything, limits poseability & makes her too back-heavy to stand. I don't foresee many displaying the robot mode with that thing attached. Aside from those quibbles, this is an exquisite representation of Blackarachnia & makes for a beautiful display piece.
Well said. I actually regret buying this figure. I broke one of the legs, and the chest piece keeps falling off, which got really annoying. Transart is going to get a lot of spider leg replacement requests if they haven't already. And yes, all of the joints are super tight. Loosening the screws doesn't make them easier to bend. I highly don't recommend this figure. I'm hoping Hasbro can make a Legacy version of Transmetal Blackarachina or reissue the original toy (since this is my favorite Blackarachina design).
I was worried that this figure wouldn't transform, but partsform from one mode to another. Glad to see that removing the shell is simply a display option, not mandatory to the transformation
This is probably the best figure that Transmetal 2 Blackarachnia ever had so far, but it KILLS ME that the spider mode's back has to be detached completely to make the robot mode look more accurate.
