Hey Walt, Philippines, the "Country of natural disasters." We are finishing our house 25 miles from Davao on Mindinao on the side of Mt Apo, the tallest mountain in the Philippines. It is a volcano as well but has not erupted in human history there. It is not classified as a dormant volcano however.
We went to the top of taal in 2015, great views from the top. It rained on us as we were riding the horses up, hit a few golf balls off the top down into the lake within a lake. It was a nice trip other than the ride, especially the ride back down on the horses, no stirrups lol. It was a rough ride for a guy.
Thanks for the report Walter----we are watching progress reports from Australia----luckily we are not booked to fly for 6 months but family in Cavite and Malabon will be feeling it
Now that I have taken a closer look at things around here we are seeing about the same thing that you are, sort of a microscopic small pebbles, some on my Motorbike cover and we also have a large Tarp up in the back and it has quite a bit on top of it.
If it goes off really bad and the wind is the same way , we could get much more. That's shit gets into everything. Right through air filters on motors and autos. Will make a short life of the engine. Best to order a extra air filter soon, bet they will be out of stock in the future. Thanks for watching bro.
