Aamir always saw him as depressed and sad, so he imagined and painted him 'smiling'. That's great shot.

LIVING BEING IS OUR RACE,MANKIND IS OUR RELIGION HINDU,MUSLIM,SIKH,CRISTAIN,THERE IS NO SEPARATE RELIGION Iyov 36:5 - Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB) See, El is Kabir, and despiseth, not any; He is Kabir in ko’ach lev (strength of understanding). Translation: Supreme God is Kabir, but despises no one. He is Kabir, and firm in his purpose. In all Bible translations, the word Kabir has been translated as "Mighty" or "Great" whereas Kabir is the original name of Supreme God. Conclusion: This verse of the Bible proves that Kabir is Complete God. The one who worships God Kabir by taking initiation from the complete saint sent by him gets complete salvation. After attaining salvation that souls rest in peace in the eternal abode Satlok forever. The throne of God is in Satlok.😊 ALMIGHTY GOD KABIR is the father of all souls that JESUS, MOHAMMAD, GURU NANAK, VEDH was telling in BIBLE, QURAN, GURU GRANTHA SAHEB PRESENT MESSENGER of ALMIGHTY GOD KABIR is SAINT RAMPALJI MAHARAJ 🙏🙏😊

@@eiji8203 it actually did. Kids like Ishaan were always deemed "Pagal" by parents. Getting help from the doctor meant that their children were retarded. This movie gave a psychological awareness to parents that kids who have some syndromes/conditions doesn't mean they are retarded and that it's okay to take help and go easy on kids instead of forcing them in a race of success despite the child not being able to keep up with the pace. In the end it's for the child, not your own failures.

One of the best things about this film is the songs. Each one tells a story worth a separate film. I love how each song is so emotionally expressive and the music actually intensifies the feelings you're supposed to have in that very moment. 'Mera Jahan', Taare zameen par' and 'Teri toh manzil hai wohi' are my favorite tracks (the one where the kid is out on the roads, the title track, and the one that plays in the painting competition scene). And oh how saddening is 'Meri Maan' (one where the parents leave him in boarding school). That's the only song I can cry to every single time. Whenever I need a good cry I listen to it. So yeah, the movie is absolutely incomplete without all the songs. They fill in half of the story even with the lyrics. Another great thing is of course Darsheel's acting (the kid). I mean, I haven't seen any other kid come close yet. I might be flattering but that's one of the best performances from a child actor, if not the best. You can actually feel his struggle and understand his position. His expressions are so convincing. The second best character for me is Ishaan's father. The actor did a good job as both hated and loved character lol. The scene where he walks away after having a talk with Amir Khan in the film is one of my favorite scenes. Taare Zameen Par is still one of my personal favorite films. I can watch it any time. Glad you liked it.

So this a pleasant surprise! Please watch these movies next, you'll absolutely love them: - Bajrangi Bhaijaan (an emotional roller coaster about a mute Pakistani girl child who gets lost in India. Lisa will absolutely love this one) - Andhadhun (An Incredible Thriller about a blind pianist getting mixed up in a murder). - Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (a buddy road trip movie but with a lot of depth) - Kapoor and Sons (one of the greatest family dramas to come out of India imo. I think the girls will especially love it)

This movie is one of the finest movies in the world. A real human being can't stop crying while watching this movie. This kid is now grown up. But this movie made him famous across the whole of India. I have watched this movie four times. The movie maker portrayed an Indian kid and how he goes through the Indian education system. Nowadays, the Indian government has banned beating up children. I am 30. My teachers were really strict when it came to study. They beat us really hard but we never complained as our elders had gone through even harder. It's not like Indian teachers don't love pupils. They do love their pupils and want to make them best.

I love how this movie also showed the dad's perspective. He wasn't the worst father but he just couldn't understand his own son and treat him like he was supposed to. This also brings light to so many parents who think that your child not scoring enough grades is a total fail. Many argued over the scene where Ishaan's father walked away upon realizing his mistakes rather than giving a hug or something to Ishaan but I think the scene was perfect in itself. He didn't walk away because he didn't care for him but rather he did because he was embarrassed of treating his son the way he did. Many of us don't realise the fact that at the end, when we'll be on our deathbeds one day it won't be our scores, degrees and phds that we'll be proud of achieving all our lives but the little memories we made with the ones we loved and how we lived our lives in general. Not saying that we should skip studying. Education is important. But the education system of India is just not the best. I'm disappointed to say that we don't study to learn here, we study to score marks
@oh1life2live
@oh1life2live 10 месяцев назад
I believe the education system in the entire world is rapidly declining toward the scores and tests system and where the 'brilliant' are separated from the 'normal or weak' based on the narrow perception placed by the 'education systems'. Trust me, East, West, North South, that is the sad dawning reality of things. They pretend they 'work with parents' to foster the child's abilities, but it is a lie and sham. Teachers are over worked, and will take shortcuts to bridge those gaps, an absolute no no when it comes to the future custodians of the world.

As someone who got bullied in school both by my teachers and peers. Who would then come home to a Dad who lost belief or hope in my success. This movie is a parallel to my story, my biography. Every time I watch this film I always cry in many points just because I have gone through what Ishaan when through to some degree. My name is Sidharth Rao, I have Dyspraxia and Comorbid Dyslexia with ADD. This got diagnosed in my late teens yet this affected most of my childhood and adolescence and it still affects me to this day. Kids who go under the radar for these learning difficulties have a hard time because these disabilities don't just affect our learning, they impact our interaction with everyone, our social skills and our mood and personality. They're a fundamental part of who we are, something we cannot change yet the world expects us to conform to its ways. This film has been an integral part to discovering my identity and learning to love myself for all my flaws and imperfections. I love Aamir Khan's portrayal of Ram Shankar Nikumbh and I love this film.

I have such an attachment to this movie. I always mention this movie when someone asks what are my top 5. I was introduced to this movie on a school movie day. They chose this one probably because of the message and how my elementary school back then was the leading school (that's not a special school) that accepts students with special needs. I will forever be grateful for the early experience and exposure to this movie and although I didn't understand it fully then, this has become my comfort movie. Y'know the one you watch when life kinda sucks and you want some hope to be injected into your system lol. Love the reactions!

51:26 Putting burden on your child's shoulder is worse then child labour. Child labour - under 14 years of children who worked for livelihood. It's crime in India. It kills childhood.

This was the first and probably the only movie to be played for all classes in my school and many others that had TVs in classrooms to educate children that you shouldn't treat other kids badly if they are different. Definitely the only time my teachers agreed to skip coursework for a movie.

I'm just like ishaan, suffered all my childhood because no one couldn't understand my problem. I still have traumas of teachers, my parents, and tuition teachers beating me. I've lost count how many times I cried during that phase, even now I suffer as much but I am taking care of myself and supporting my heart that god is there. I wanted to write this here to let people know, all children are not same. I got all F grades only, still have trouble learning.

ah man. this movie makes me sob all the time. I first tried to watch it around 2007 when I was 7. It actually took me several years to finish watching this movie because everytime I just end up walking out at some point because of how emotional I get. A lot of what's happened to me as a child affects me to this day, things like the avoidant attachment, where I basically avoid getting close to people in fear of leaving them anyway. I was orphaned and adopted, I was abused by teachers, bullied etc. i went from having interest in many things in life, to being numb to any pleasure in life and attempted s- many times. Anyway that got dark. Yes, this movie has a special place in my heart.

i was the same age as Ishaan when this movie came out, and let me tell you- this movie is such an intrinsic part of who ive grown up to be, but a couple of things i wanna add: * Yes, schooling in India can look a little like Ishaan's first school, i have distinct memories of difficult rote learning and getting scolded, yelled at, punished, even hit with a scale, and i hated every second of it, but-- I have to admit that its great for the fact that life as an adult is also tough, i have to deal with rude and insensitive superiors all the time, have to make sure my work is perfect a lot, and a rough schooling has really made me invinsible in the face of these challges. So yes, while i agree that indian education needs to become more kinder and understanding of learning disabilities, this system works to prepare those who can keep up. * The reason the father seemed that way is because the previous generation of indians were the ones who worked very very hard to make an easy life for their children. india still has a lot of poverty, places with less access to education and oppurtunities, gap between the rich and poor, so his father probably didnt want ishaan to walk backwards into a life of difficulty again. His approach was harsh, but building a good life in a rough society is also hard, so i do get him. * Once again, oppurtinities in India when it comes to the arts and artistic fields are very veryyy limted, you might say its the same everywhere, but no, in many places in india there arent even a few roles you can fight for. its essential to do well at STEM and english to be someone who can move up the ladder, and for most good colleges children prepare for the entrance exams from very early in life, and these exams are some of the toughest in the world, so the anxieties of the people around ishaan come with their explanations. * This is a funny one, but-- its a common threat most indian parents use to discipline their kids that "if you dont behave, ill send you to boarding school" so him actually ending up going had me shitting bricks as a kid haha.

All Amirkhan’s movies touches deeply because he is an excellent actor. Beside the recent ones such as Danghal, PK, Tare Zamin par & 3 idiots, I watched the older ones, Qayamat Se, Dil, Rangeela, maan, laaghan, Gulam, Raja Himdustani, Dil chata hai, and Ishq and all were so satisfying to watch. I liked Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar very much.!

When it comes to Aamir Khan's movies I don't think i have watched one and not be balling my eyes out. This movie was very touching and as someone with a learning disability I could relate so much to Ishaan and Aamir Khan really delivers on the emotion and bringing the message across in such a way that allows the audience to understand the lesson. I think like western movies like the dead poet society and freedom writers these Aamir Khan movies stand on the same level or maybe even above those in relaying an educational message. I love this movie and cannot watch it with a dry eye. Thank you guys for reacting.
