I wonder what kind of guys are you? What patience, what a look-ahead, etc. I could probably do that too, but I wouldn't have the patience. For me everything has to be done in one day, fast zack zack etc. How do you do that? A thought comes up "oh I'll build a crosscut fence" CNC program, etc. That thing with the black paint on the plastic part ... Great! Very nice. There is only one improvement I would make, I'd add the ability to lock the quick adjust down / disengaged. I've never seen it done on a machine but try setting up an angle of, for example, 44 degrees. It's awkward because it keeps wanting to snap to 45 degrees so you have to hold down the quick adjust, set the angle and lock the angle plate without it moving.

Those knobs and thumb piece... Really went the extra mile there and it paid off big. I would have been satisfied with some plain knurled brass knobs and nothing on the spring catch. Spectacular work.
