My favorite A team moment is when Al fell into an acid pit & kept rolling 19s until he died it was priceless especially because he got ptsd then went to the part of hell that's almost entirely made of acid.
Ryan: Close. You're probably remembering the story of Madiera. Madiera are Portuguese islands southwest of Portugal (due west of northern Morocco). During about the time of the US revolution and before, there was a wine-making industry, and they found themselves exporting surprising amounts to the American colonies. Madiera wine wasn't anything special - it was a fortified wine of no special quality when it left. But when it arrived, it was an amazing product. It turns out, shipping the wine in hot, churning ship holds across the ocean aged the wine quickly and improved it greatly, making it one of the most important wines in the early American experience. Many of the founders of the country were known to be fond of it. It's still a very good product, though now it's aged deliberately, of course.
www.sandeman.com/ Pretty good stuff, though I had a Portuguese person tell me it was crap only good for foreigners. The latest vintage year is 2016. Buy a bottle and drink it 30 or 40 years from now.
