Grand and Sub-totals don't always work as expected. The workbook for this video comes from Ajit Sahoo. The table calculations aren't recognized by the grand totals, so I use FIXED with nested IF-THEN to fix the issue. Watch to the end to see a new way to look at combining SUM functions.

Hey! Can you tell me when we add totals in line chart. How to edit the label of it? Like I don't just want to show numbers and give some text label to the total line.

To add labels to a line chart, go to the labels card (the "T") and select "show mark labels" or something like that. You can pull other dimensions onto the labels card to have them show up as well. Although you might need to go back into the the labels card then select the "text" option. If that doesn't help, message me again. I may not be understanding your questions.

How do we display total values based on 15 minutes interval data. For eg: I'm expecting output like rows should have like 8 :00 to 8:15 , 8:15 to 8:30 , 8:30 to 8:45,8:45 to 8:59 and total of above intervals in same row . Is it possible in tableau ?

Are 8:00-8:15 and 8:45-9:00 the row labels, or the row values? Tableau can't add anything to 8:00-8:15 because it thinks of it as a text. You'll want to convert them to values (probably minutes). Try Datediff('minutes',[StartDate/Time],[EndDate/Time]).

I am unclear as to the problem. From the Analyze menu in the ribbon, there is a Totals sub-menu with an option for Column totals. Grand Totals will not work if the measure is in the header portion of the chart. In you received the workbook from someone else, there is a possibility the creator chose to "hide" the grand total.
