Just a heads up: putting OpenTabletDriver in the osu! folder can have unintended effects, since the built in updater has moved unrelated files when updating in the past. It's best to put it in its own folder as the installation guide suggests.
Really informative and quick, thank you for that. I didn't actually received my tablet yet because of the delivery time but I'll come back to this video to already get a base configuration and not have to worry about whatever the default configuration is. I'll try to find more info on the smoothing part because it looks like something you need to ajust according to you and the tablet/pen and not copy paste everyone else settings
i have a problem with the cursor, it goes to the top corner and after watching this video, im very happy bcuz i know where's the problem is, thank you so much mr jaeky! :)
you could use the rotate setting to change the angle i use it because my tablet is like 3 times bigger than most of the osu tablets so i use my tablet vertically
@jaeky 9:02 He's definitively talking about rotating the area 180 degrees ^^ This can be achieved by right clicking the area, hovering over to the "flip" tab and then clicking "vertical" or "handness" The person asking this question's probably a CTL472 owner and/or probably left handed Source: CTL472 owner + left handed. The wacom drivers (on their latest releases) added an area orientation setting to sorta "fix" this issue PS: this wouldn't be a problem if the cable was longer (like the one found on the CTL/CTH480) and placed the usb port on the top rather than on the side...
I found this video pretty helpful its been a while playing OSU! feels good again. I have one issue when im playing sometimes my curser studders trying to hit jumps. Im using the same filter and settings. instead of width 75, I found width 70 to be my sweet spot and I use the same height. I'm using the Wacom CTL 4100 any recommendations to fix the random studder issues (almost feels like the curser stays in one place for a split second) EDIT: I think I found the solution myself. I had my tablet plugged into usb 2.0 port, plugged it into 3.0 all seems well.
I made my display ONLY display on the 1st monitor and it still lets me move to the 2nd monitor and i set my tablet area to something smaller and it still lets me use the whole tablet.
@@zoebencharski5341 I have resolved my issue, make sure you don't have 2 tablet drivers. After deleting my unused driver and restarting my pc, my tablet seems fine to this day. I'm using a Gaomon S620 with OpenTabletDriver
I downloaded and edited the mapping in the driver but the tablet still treats it as it the entire tablet is being used despite being only a small mapping.
doesn't work for me, i turned lock aspect ratio off and on and it still does, i turn on lock to display and it doesn't and when i try and change the area it stays as the first area i put.
Usually I use my wacom tablet to draw and play osu, In order to use this new driver for my osu game, I have to uninstall the wacon drawing tablet driver which is better for drawing. Is there a way to solve this other than having to uninstall and reinstall all the time?
the driver doesnt detect my tablet unless i unplug it and plug it back in, then it gives me a little guide and closes after im done clicking through it, is there a fix for this?
hello I need help I keep experiencing a weird double click like my cursor has a ghost like cursor following it and it prevents me from clicking on the thing I want to when hovering with the solid cursor. How do I fix?
I know I am super late, but I have a problem! whenever my tablet detects my pen, the cursor starts shaking like crazy. adding antichatter/latency made it worse, it continued shaking AND it started having a huge tracking delay along with the cursor randomly teleporting to other places on my screen. Please help!
By left handed/right handed, they mean rotating the tablet area by 180°. You can do that by right clicking your tablet are and selecting Flip > Handedness
Hello, everything went almost right in the tutorial, but when I enter the OSU and move around the tablet, a second cursor appears quickly, could you tell me what it would be ?? my tablet is a WACOM CTL-480-3
Thanks for the help. This lastest 1 day however because today when I got back from going outside the pen was shaky and it was going left and right very quickly once I put it on the tablet. It moved like 1cm on the screen left and right constantly. Also yes I did use devocub
Hello I just wanna ask something is a tablet driver necessary? I recently bought an xp-pen tablet then I installed the driver but when I installed the driver a keyboard pops up on my login screen whenever I restart or turn on my PC and I uninstalled my xp-pen driver the keyboard pop up was gone so I decided to install the driver again and the problem is back the keyboard is still popping up whenever I restart or turn on my pc so I uninstalled the driver and I decided to play osu without a tablet driver then I set my sensitivity on osu on 3 which worked out pretty well but I was just wondering if a pen tablet driver is really necessary
is there a way to lock or set a fixed number for the report rate. cause i noticed when doing slow and small movements the cursor becomes very stuttery and the report rate goes down to 30-50hz then goes back up to 200-300hz once you start doing faster movements but goes back down once you go slow again.
it's the natural response time of the tablet, it will go from 1 to 1000hz pooling rate depending on the movement speed, but maybe what you could probably try is to set a custom frequency with the Devocub antichatter filter
my wacom intuos isnt supported. do i need the driver? :II also...my pen is sometimes, idk, "laggy"? its like it doesnt react and then i fail clicking circles
Hello. My tablet is stuck on like one line and doesn't go into the corners like how I want. I'm not sure why it doesn't use the whole area it's basically set to one setting and I can't reach notes in the corners.
hey a little late but i have a wacom ctl472 and i have this problem that when i move the pen the cursor doesn’t go with it it’s like it have a little lag or something, need help
*HELP* i uninstall wacom driver before using this but it still doesn't detect my tablet. Under Console one message says "Another tablet driver found: Wacom" i don't know what to do please help
For some reason the driver only detects my tablet when it is ran at is an administrator. However, I can't use plugins/filters. Is there any way I can fix this?
My tablet worked with your video, but with my second monitor it doesnt. I set it to my main monitor and its stuck on a half of my monitor. When i set to the other one its also stuck, but on the other of the monitor. I can put it in the mid of both ones but it feels like my sens is another one when i press play a map, but when not its completely normal.
I can only use one site of my monitor ingame, its like an invisible wall in the middel so my cursor cant move any further. how do i fix that? And it permanently scrolls down in the song list so i cant select any maps.
im experience gliches like when im playing a map the cursor glitch and a ppear 2 cursors and the sensetivity automatically increase and decrease at the same time. i had delete and reinstall back, try increase the antichatter strength which made it worse and also using the actual area of the tablet still does not work. how to fix this issue??
My cursor latency are getting slower and slower after using it for a long time, is there any way to fix this? My filter is none i haven't installed any filter on my driver yet
No matter what I do no tablet driver will override windows 11 default tablet settings and I can't figure out how to disable/uninstall windows shenanigans, any help?
PLS HELP! if the software is opened, my tablet wont work on osu but if it was closed, it worked but the software settings is not applied.. my tablet is XP-PEN g640 but it said it was compatible..
How do I remove hovering and the teleporting of the cursor? My cursor teleports on a certain spot when I put my pen on that spot. This is my first time using a tablet so I don't know what to do
if you have a wacom you have to uninstall the wacom drivers themselves for it to work, but if you want to keep the wacom drivers just shut them down with task manager
the same problem, the stock driver works, but the opendriver and the driver from hawku do not want to recognize the tablet so that it does not do if you find a solution, I will be grateful if you help
i did the same exact thing as the tutorial showed. it works when I open the driver but if I try to move my pen on the tablet, it says, "Lost connection to daemon, exiting..." and then the driver closes. does anyone know how to fix this? ty
So i'm getting a problem every now and then where I move my pen, and the cursor doesn't follow. It stays where it is for 1 sec then teleports to where the pen should be. It's not the tablet nor do I think it's the pen they are both brand new and barely used. I've tried looking it up online and on youtube, but so far i'm not seeing much.
hey small question, so i put in my area and saved and applied it already but it doesnt work, it still uses like the entire tablet as an area like the area does nothing at all any tips?
@@name4278 i forgot now, but im pretty sure you have to uninstall your normal tablet driver (so if you have a wacom tablet and installed the wacom driver before the opentabletdriver, deinstall that)
I dont understand this. I got the gaomon s620 and I downloaded the software but people were saying that open tablet driver was better. I got that and it wouldn't work because I have the gaomon s620 one already. I uninstalled that but the open tablet driver was saying the same thing and I cant even reinstall the Gaomon one for some reason.
i need help i have the display in the driver set to my main monitor on the right but ever time i put the pen driectly on the tablet it the right or left
