would have been interesting to see the affect on paint. or how lighter metal that's painted reacts. I think most people who live anywhere rural have seen road signs with bullet holes in them. but car body panels... or even just painted metal. vs a rusty ole piece of scrap steel
Movies, games and boomer-lore love to think of it as a "man-stopper". In fact, it has similar wounding to 9mm, and less penetration. Really the only thing good about it is that it's so slow that's its great out of a suppressor (silencer). .45 is a semi-meme in the shooting community these days.
