In this video I've shown you how to make an amazing tabletop waterfall fountain by recycling plastic bottle. It’s fun to make and you can use it as an awesome decoration.
Materials used:
plastic bottle/plastic cap/plant pot/superglue/silicone/aquarium glue/coconut coir/submersible pump/Polypropylene Board/window screen/water pipe/scissors/Utility knife/graver/Iron clip

This beautiful. I have been watching your videos. My husband has a fish tank, and I love plants. I also want to make an aquaterrarium. This table top aquaterrarium is amazing. Im thinking to make one for my office. I have a few questions though: 1. How do you maintain these? Cleaning, water changes etc. 2. How do you water the plants? Do the plants get watered from the waterfalls or you have to water them differently? Thank you. Im a new subscriber 😊

Thank you for your praise. Regularly clean the aquaterrarium, removing debris and algae, and perform water changes. Use a siphon or small pump for water changes, replacing about 10-20% of the water every 1-2 weeks. Water features like waterfalls or a recirculating pump aid water circulation and nutrient absorption by plants. Most plants absorb nutrients through their roots. Some may benefit from additional misting using a spray bottle. Additional Tips: Lighting: Ensure plants get sufficient light, either near a window or with artificial lighting. Plant Selection: Choose plants adapted to a humid environment.

Thank you for your kind words! To answer your question, the coir does absorb water from those cups and keeps the moss moist. We also mist the enclosure regularly to keep the humidity high.

Just curious, did she (the crayfish) dig the hell out of your base? 😅 They do that to nest even when not pregnant. Mine digs constantly so I know she’s active and healthy. Also, what are your plans for the hatchlings? Again, just curious. Great video!

How did you get your pump to flow at a reasonable rate? And what was that black paste you covered the whole thing in?

The pump is adjustable.The black paste is silicone.

Do apply the coconut coir wet and let it and the silicone dry together or apply the coconut dry and then wet it? I've never used this before and I'm trying to make this.

muchisimas gracias por responder me a sido de gran ayuda. tambien he hecho fuentes como las tuyas parecidas, y ahora la que quiero hacer para los gatos solo tendra un enbalse de plastico como las cajas de guardar la ropa pero la filtracion se la pondre aparte con piedras porosa, carbón, bolas de ceramica y esponja de filtrado supongo que asi quedará, bien y con tu mensaje he comprado barras de silicona caliente pero de calidad, de nuevo muchas gracias por tu tiempo se que eres una persona ocupada un saludo desde españa😉
