Tabu and Vishal Bhardwaj are known to be a magical duo who have always delivered some of the finest films together. And with Khufiya that released on Netflix, they have taken their association one step up. Here, in this candid chat with Nayandeep Rakshit from Bollywood Bubble, the two friends discuss their almost three decade old dosti - Vishal reminisces times when Tabu stood by him during the making of Maqbool as nobody believed in the project and Tabu on the other hand shares how she can be anything in front of her friend VB. They narrate some of the funniest things that happened on sets when they were shooting together and Vishal makes a shocking revelation of how Tabu had actually said no to Haider twice before he finally convinced her to play Ghazala. Not just that, Tabu addressed the common perceptions around her - of being a serious woman who people think doesn't laugh or smile. This is a legendary DUO who must keep on producing amazing projects. And the way they elaborate, perceive stuff and even carry themselves is gracious as people in the film industry. Tabu as an actress is truly one of a kind.

Tabu has worked with some of the best directors one can come across in film industry not just hindi but more predominantly hindi people like Gulzar's maachis & Hu tu tu, govind nihalani's thakshak, VB's maqbool, Haider, andhadun ( i dont know the director of this film) ,Balki's cheeni kum, dhrishyam and with due respect to all the madhuri's & Juhi's and Kajol's, you are way above them, i still feel you were very under utilized or may be you wanted to be like that i dont know, but hats off to you barring one or two of your earlier films most of them were damn good even if they were not commercially successful but your work has always been appreciated by the masses and the classes and critics which is a very unique thing and that too for over a period of 35 years or so.

Nayandeep, love, we know how much you love Tabu (me too!) but when you interviewed two powerhouses don't be biased. You got to ask Vishaal Sir the same last question actually, how he feels about making female-led film. You literally didn't touch on it at all lol. I think you've grown from the way you interview but this whole fanboying over a certain actor shows your lack of experience -- you could have done more and be better! Just a two cents from a fan who enjoyed your interviews :)

I actually did. But Vishal sir's mic had a lot of issues. And hence we had to cut out a few portions where the audio just didn't work. Netflix had recorded this interview on their set up and I apologise on everyone's behalf. But genuinely, some audio issue is what became a huge obstacle. Hence the interview also got a bit delayed to be put up.

Nayandeep stop licking asses , let your guest talk , sometime things don't need to be really deep in conversations , sometime straight lines can also be fun & mature . Do your homework , work on your communication skills , know when to stop ✋️, don't engage everything with yourself or your life. Tabu & Vishal is just phenomenal .

Ass licking may be harsh. Yes he tends to be a bit high on trying to please and flatter, but intention may just be to be nice. That is his personality. I agree, not every question has to be related to a situation of his personal life. Problem is these interviews are frivolous but they also want to appear profound. All of these interviews are like this though....not just Nayan
