Siege is killer line, I used it for years and have nothing negative to say. Diameter is bigger compared to Seaguar, but it still casts like a dream and once you condition it it's truly a pleasure to fish with. Let the conditioner dry on your line before you make a cast. I normally spray my reels the night before or morning of before I head to the lake. Let me know how you like them.
KVD line conditioner is great stuff! I use it on all my mono/fluorocarbon lines and it really helps with line memory. Thanks for all the tips and suggestions. Keep up the great work! 👍
The Mag II is actually only around 8" unless you stretch the tails out. I find that the tab at the end of the tail rips off after one fish and like you said about brush hogs, the body tears super easily. I prefer Culprit 7" ribbontails in Junebug - they are almost as long as the Mag II's and they hold up way better.
Tip on memory for mono put your spool in a cup of finger hot sink water and leave it in there for about 5 minutes the night before or the day of the fishing trip. After 2 casts zero memory all day even in winter!!
I use Maxima Chameleon for my Poppers/Topwaters and Line Conditioner. Never had a problem with casting or memory or breakage. This year going to Light Braid on one of my reels to try it out to see how much casting distance I can gain. For walking baits I will add a heavy mono leader for those days it starts to tangle on itself.
Kevin Bullington hey bud. Ya always good to try something different. Especially if you throw it on different rod. Some line combos work better than others. Never get complacent
Reel Magic is incredible line conditioner! Check that stuff out as well, you can get it at Wal-Mart and it's cheaper than the KVD stuff. Nice unboxing.
Yeah I fish in east texas and I get em good just slow rolling them ( not like a jig, but actually reeling because they have a swimming ribbon tail) slow rolling them on a 1/8 OZ texas rig with a 3 or 4/0 EWG. I caught three four pounders in 20 mins on them 1 day
+South East Fishing I didn't know that they came out with new swim baits. I haven't been following icast that closely. I guess I'll see what happens. Thanks for the info.
I saw the video on either flw or tw's channel but I looked through both of them and could not find the video and I looked through my search history and I couldn't find it there. I am pretty sure Westley Strader did the video on it but I just can't seem to find it. Sorry If I got your hopes up.
