On the surface it's a risk but he's doing the right thing. Honestly, he probably won't do much in the NBA. The NBA game isn't built for the super giants like him. He's athletic for his massive size but he'll still have trouble keeping up and carving out a niche. The pro game is just too fast and too 3 point shooting focused for him to keep up. Luckily he's a solid, smart guy and a great student so he'll be fine outside of basketball. May as well put UCF on the map and get a good degree while enjoying the full college experience.

Actually, it's in part BECAUSE he's that tall that he probably won't make a big impact in the NBA. He'll probably be an end of the bench role player for a few years who becomes a fan favorite and excites teams during garbage time like Boban but he won't be on the floor during crunch time.
