It was the way he was raised. His mother was borderline racist and, at one point, disowned him after he supported black rights. Grandpa later admitted he was kinda racist in the old videos in a live stream. It could be that she told Grandpa that Mexicans were “Illegal” at some point, and it is no wonder why he was racist towards them, and possibly other immigrants.

Grandpa i wish you could read this i would like to say that i have a two grand father that fought in ww2 and also i have a father that work in the police force im very proud of them but sadly they are all gone i am also former rescue firefighter here in the philippines and now im working in philippine goverment now… i told you about my grad pops and my dad because you are like them loving father and loving grand pop ..
