My god, even without the backup dancers and stuff, Taco manages to deliver the same amount of excitement to the viewer just by his movements alone. This is Talent!

I feel like Tacos version of this song is the benchmark of how to do a version of a song with your own spin. He maintains the integrity of the art which is most iconic (the rhythm of the lyrics, which is the standout of the piece of music), and then putting your spin on the less important parts inbetween. It shows respect to the original work, while serving as a showcase of your own style, and its why i love both this version and the original by Irving Berlin equally

The showmanship of this man is incredible... I have been listening to this song since it first came out in the 80's.. I even occasionally play it at some of my dj gigs.... :)

Even if this is a "one hit wonder", it's one of the best "one hit wonders" out there. that's not trash talk either, he likely has a bunch of good songs that i'm unfamiliar with

The rest, you and others know why the song came about at that time in 1920 or so. That TACO did a very nice upgrade of the song Puttin' On The Ritz, and received it so well, is a very good rating from me for TACO.

Yes, indeed nobody can't sing that song but Taco himself. I use to hear this song all the time. Nobody can't move and groove to Puttin' On The Ritz but Taco. I like the song because it has a funky and a cool jazzy beat in a disco style form that's when disco was slowly fading out. I still love this song 2 this very day!
