Are the crossbars T Tracks should be up to be able to tie luggage down. Also why arent you putting the rubber weather strip back in place with silicone?

Why no weather seal or protection at the point of contact with the roof bolts. They have a history of rust and leaks.

I know it says for 3rd gen Tacoma, but was wondering if it also fits the 2nd since the roof pretty much looks the same.

Side plates look flimsy from the assembled views in the first 2 minutes. You can see how the top edge of the plate deform with the cross bars tightened down.

They deform a LOT when you tighten the bars. From the top mine looks like a cheap piece of shit. All warped and digs into the vehicle on the back edges but yet I cant move it any further back. Not happy with this at all.

@@KingHaywood85 no, I tried to put a awning on it today tho and of course the hardware was to big and I have to get way smaller hardware to hold it up. Its been way more work finding things and buying extra hardware im over it.. Itd only rated 100pounds and I feel I need to judt swap it out with rails that actually r designed for heavy mounting things.

100 lb static or dynamic load limit? This is purely for cosmetic looks. Not a functional roof rack. This can be dangerous for people who don’t realize the rack’s limitations.

Can anyone who has this rack installed in places where it snows please tell me, how difficult is it to remove snow from your roof after a snowstorm? Also, how much more difficult is it to wash and wax your roof? I like the rack, but if I can't keep my truck clean, this won't work for me.

I literally was thinking the same thing, looks awesome and would be great for when I go camping but snow removal seems difficult,, could always throw a tarp over it if you had to

Absolutely nothing. Get that center piece as close to the roof as possible, unless you have one like mine where the damn thing seems to be too high with no way to drop it any lower and the rack is too far forward even though its pushed as far back as possible.
