@@LastLineOfDefense Your gas mileage must be shit. That's a lot of weight. Hopefully your winter bin etc, gets removed at some point and you don't keep all that in there? Also in that winter bin, is that jacket an Arc Teryx Sidewinder?
Hi from Australia, Here we call the Tacoma a Hilux. Thought you would like how I have set up and can camp full time out if it. Cheers Out There Touring
I learned 2 very important facts about you via this well put together video. 1. You are officially the most organized pack rat I have ever seen. 2. Pepper spray & tampons make you uncomfortable when you have to reveal why you have them. Keep doing what you do brother and yes please do a full vid on the Weboost
I logged into my account just to comment that I absolutely LOVE your setup. I've been looking at picking up a Taco for a few months now, and my decision is now made.
Its awesome seeing your storage solutions. Ive been playing around with some but its nice seeing someone elses idea and running with it. Keep up the good work.
I have a Silverado, not a Tacoma, but the way you set up your truck is goals for me. I love the way you've modified it. Keep up the awesome content, and I hope you're having a great Christmas!
Awesome truck setup. I've been a ham operator 40+ years. Be aware of the weboost and cell phone emf. I usually keep my phone in airplane mode while driving with data / bluetooth off. I use data when necessary then turn it off. You can still receive texts and phone calls with data turned off. Pick up an accusticom 2 emf meter or equivalent. It helped me clean up my environment tremendously. Most people are on emf overload, with headaches, nervousness, anxiety, sleeping issues and emotional challenges. They have no idea most are caused by carrying a cellphone on your body. Turn your wifi router off at night with a $15 timer. One tech guy to another cell towers are creating a lot of issues for people. I'll be moving to the mountains soon as I can. 73's!
Installs, installs, installs, show us the installs , if you do it yourself ,do videos on what toolsyou used, what panels you removed, holes you drilled grommets used, routing of wires, fuses, circuits , ect ect....do major install videos man. From owl 4g live cam, to light bare switches, ect ect....
He's already installed it. Are you suggesting he take 50 hrs to reinstall everything, for free, for one guy on the interwebs who is too lazy to search RU-vid in addition to not being thankful for the free content already provided but demanding more? What a suckpump of a human.
@@clm652 Absolutely. Maybe have him do it 2 or 3 times with different brands of the same type of thing. If knew anything about truck people you'd know he is not done.
@@joesmith7123 If you need him to show you how to install the OWL cam you prolly shouldn't be behind the wheel of anything, just ask your wife to do it.
@@RubiconV If you knew anything about trucks you could do it yourself. Future installs I can understand but yelling like a 12 yr old and demanding he show how he's installed everything so far is beyond retarded.
Man, I thought I was so smart for using those adhesive cardholders in my truck to store my gas and costco cards. Pretty sure I even have the exact same one as you.
Hey man i recently got a 2019 tacoma myself and ive been looking around of peoples builds/mods and your channel is the best one i came across! Love ur truck and your videos and ideas! and hopefully maybe someday ill make mine as cool as yours lol
Prepared dude. Great video. If you have daughters later in life you will find tampons and pads in your vehicles anyways. I used the pads under the metal bar on my climbing gear worked great and absorbs all the sweat then you toss it in trash and put another one on your leg.
Love your truck. Just got me a 2018 TRD Sport 4X4. Got a few new "ideas' for my truck, lol, I want that divider for the center console. Great video and it made me subscribe. Looking forward to more great content. I got a rechargeable Anker flashlight and a USB jump charger so far
LLOD so I was watching this whilst on the toilet... typical fashion, and I looked up to see one of my towels I used to use while on deployment in Afghan. Check out micronet microfiber towel. Awesome space saver and multiple uses. And it dries out within 10 minutes after use! I love mine and have had it for years. Try one out. And no I’m in now way sponsored. Just loved the towel while deployed and still rock it! Stay aware, stay safe, and never forget!
Good list of gear, quite a bit of essentials. I love keeping mine simple and clean, just helps when i really need to find things. Comms are always important though!

I pack my tools into Blue Ridge tool bags I like that they have velcro pouches that you can remove and have it where you are working and not the whole bag.
I think you should bring more stuff. I *think* I saw a couple of cubic inches completely void of say, another dog leash or ??? BTW, just because a space isn't utilized doesn't mean that it is "wasted". In other words...It is not necessary to fill every cubic inch with "stuff". I think there is an economic theory that explains this type of psychological behavior. I enjoy the channel and appreciate the work you put into it.
cool tip for using light bars on back roads. On my truck, I wired a button on my switch panel that ties all my lights to my high beams, so turning my high beams on and off turn on and off everything. Or I can turn that switch off and the lights work as normal. super useful.
As a new owner of a Tacoma, this was SUPER helpful. Just stumbled on this by chance. Great vid, great ideas. Please keep it going... I'll be checking out the rest of yer vids. BTW, great respect on organization.
I love my Tacoma. Except I opted for the manual. One of the best things I love about Tacoma's is the massive aftermarket parts availability and forums with loads of mods and info.
Second the Ham install. There are some OK Tacoma Ham install videos out there but I feel that yours might be better. Great stuff on this video! 73 NG8M
You should do a video on the tool bag. I have a tool set from walmart that I keep in my truck but it’s a hard plastic case, that I have been thinking of changing
I've heard of redundancy, but you can eliminate about 30% of that stuff and still be fine. Another 15% could be put into mission essential bags(Keep the lead wipes in your range bag) Great video though, I have an older Tacoma and I learned a lot about things I should be getting to stay prepared and ready.
You have my dream truck configured in my dream way. I daily drive an 85' GMC K20 that I take in the Mountains alot (live in Colorado). It's just a single cab with a bench seat but I have always have alot of stuff with me. Its second hand from my dad so alot of it is from my dad. I have mechanic tools, emergency camping and survival equipment, first aid, and a CB Radio when offloading with friends. Its not as much as you obviously but I dont have much room. It's all stored between storage space behind or under the bench seat and in a weather proof locker in the bed. No defense items like guns or pepper spray but I do have a random super cheap machete that my dad found for me and I keep it in reach if I need it outside the vehicle in a pinch.
Well, I have 3532 miles on my 18, sr5 Tacoma. I literally got pissed that I accidentally scratched the door plastics...this has seriously helped me get thru that hell. Thank you.
I watched this video around January 2019 (the first time). I think it was February I went to an uncles cabin off a secondary highway down a dirt road a couple of kilometres. So i was prepared, but I did not realize my girlfriend wasn't. We had to go shopping for tampons around 11:00 on a Saturday night, and we were supposed to be leaving on Sunday anyways. We get in the truck to go to the nearest town, but I need to turn around (the road was very narrow), I try to use a driveway to make it easy, but the driveway hadn't been used yet this winter, so I got stuck. Had to drag the uncle away from the hockey game (I'm Canadian, its a struggle) to haul me out with his truck. Never did get to the store that night. P.S. To make matters worse, we had a 5 hour drive on the way out to the cabin where i was literally passing out while laughing at a Joe Rogan podcast where he learned about #freebleed. If anyone could remind me what podcast that was I would probably listen to it again.
Ham radio is a must for communication with the logging trucks in the mountains. Most people have no idea what the mile marker signs are for on logging roads.
