Thank you Sarah, for a very nice and to the point video. You explained what you did and why you did it very well. I appreciated the “set” being clean and not distracting. Nothing but the parts and tools needed for the job. Also, I have a daughter who enjoys working on our Tacoma together and we liked seeing a video showing that women can do automotive work too. Do I have to crack open the brake fluid reservoir or the bleeder when compressing the piston?

I think those two little holes thru the rotors are threaded and the bolt you refer to is known as a jack screw which can help push the rotor off if it is sticking a bit. Would be nice to know what type of thread and bolt size would be needed for this. Would like to know where these Rotors & Pads are cast and manufactured. Thank you for sharing your talent .

M8 x 1.25 x 16 or 30 mm hex flanges bolts

You don’t need to lubricate anything? Besides the pins...

Do you need to lube the back of the brake pads or anti seize to other parts?

DO NOT use anti seize. It will wear out the rubber on the pistons and will actually stiffen it. Use brake grease on the backing of the pads if you want, it’s not mandatory though.

After the install of the new rotors and brake pads, do you pump the brake with the engine off or on?

Don’t think it matters much but just to be sure, do it with the engine on because that’s when you’ll be using the brakes anyways, when the engine is one and running.
