The best model for me was the G-6. 100 air kills and about 50 ground kills. Once I got the K-4, I struggled.

The f-4 was my favorite (mainly cuz of the ammo) i love flying it and can stand my ground in a dogfight and sending bombers back to the hanger with the gun pods is always fun

I've always used the F-4. Just seems to be the best thing for me to use for air and ground realistic battles. Since I flew it the most and learnt how to use it properly I could easily hold my own. Love the cannons and I practically mastered bombing with it.

I love flying the E-4 or E-7/U2. Mastering the use of flaps turns it into an unstopable opponent, sure it's also the canons that are hard to hit with, but also very rewarding if you know how to use them.

Back in time when I started playing war thunder turning in the 109s was like making a stone turn in the air 😂 flying a 109 and a 190 was almost the same. I was so happy when I noticed the changes they did to them several years ago. My favourite 109 is the G6, because it has the coolest paint design after 280 victories.

I personally love the BF-109 F-4 and F-1 they are beautiful aircraft. The amount of kills is insane and their history is just as rememberable

One of the better videos you guys have posted. Very informative. Since I am getting used to my Italian BF109 G-2, while using gun pods, I will take this advice under consideration and practice. My biggest problem is aiming and landing a hit. My German Yak 1B, only has a fraction of the rounds as the BF109 G-2, but I usually only need one or two bursts to shoot an enemy down, that is how accurate and fast-travelling those cannons and Mg's are on that plane. That makes a huge difference. It's frustrating when I waste 1/3rd of my rounds on a plane while using the BF109 G-2... especially when I know I could take out planes easier with my Yak1b. my favorite Bf 109 is the Bf 109 K-4 because of the 30mm MK 108 it shoots the deadliest bullets they called Minengeschosse (minebullets) u have to only read the name and u know what gonna happend to the enemys and the other favorite is the bf 109 G-14 because it was one of the most flown Bf from Erich Hartmann (Bubi) The Blond Knight of Germany)

The Bf. 109 Z is quite nice even though it's missing some bomb options, like a pair of 500kg or a single 1000kg bomb for the cost of the wing mounted 30mm canons

Bf109 e is my absolute favorite to fly. Not to overpowered where you mop the enemy team not to underpowered where you lose every dogfight. It's just right. At least for me on Sim mode

When i stopped playing WT 10 years ago, my favorite was the HE 112 latest model, 129 kills in „Simulator Mode“, but i switched to IL2 series and DCS cuze i wanted a more realistic aircraft and a clickable cockpit

I recently became a BF109 enjoyer. I only got up to the F4 so far but its probably my favorite out of all of them. Imo the F4 is the peak variant just for its br range. I also like the Sakeen, it isn't as good as the other 109s save for the guns but at its br and the fact that it's the only rank 4 plane at 3.3, If you fly it right it will get work done and will print out SL for you

109s have been my go to for most of the time I have been playing. I always preferred the F-4 and in my opinion it's the best plane in the game for getting a high volume of kills in air RB. The big trick is to keep your speed up, and when dogfighting keep the plane in a vertical loop. Almost everything you face will struggle to keep up, and nothing will be able to cut far enough into your turn circle to get a shot off, so long as you keep in the vertical. I'd highly recommend performing this tactic with 15-20 minutes of fuel and without the 15mm gun pods. If you have a buddy flying an F-4 as well you can bait and switch large groups of enemies by doing this. 2 decent Bf-109 pilots can destroy an entire enemy team just by having one 109 pull enemies up and having the other shoot them down as they prop hang. Simply swap back and forth as targets present opportunities for quick kills. They can't climb up after you, they can't run away, and they can't energy fight you when you eventually come down for the remaining few. The last time one of my wingmen and I tried this we both scored 5 kills in just a few minutes.

The Avia had a Jumo engine from a bomber, and the prop to go with it. As a result the torque of the engine, and mass of the prop killed a lot of pilots by rolling the plane at high RPM.

The Bf109 F-4 is my personall favorite.

Q: What are the seven Planes on the papers on the Tactical briefing screen when you enter a battle? My best Guess is the A6M, Bf 109, P-51, MiG 17, and maybe a B-17 but i have no idea what the other 2 are.

I had a nightmare match with the Sakeen yesterday in arcade and also the first time i saw the aircraft,...no matter how many planes we sent, we only got burning trails at the end of each engagement....that guy scored up 12 kills in 2-3 mins....hell he killed me 4 times...at the end he had 20 kills and I dont even know how many assists....He was killed only once that too when we had 7 fighters chasing him(me being one of them)....and then he had a backup Sakeen cause why not....

My favorite BF-109 is the Italian G-14. And then the G.56 if you can count that as a 109 with the engine and guns 😆

My favourite is Bf-109 F1..good at climbing..boom and zoom tactics very good with this plane,maneuverability really not bad..once i killed 5 enemy planes with it(even tho we lost)

Playing with the 109 E-3 right now. Love having the two 20mm cannons to go after bombers. Need to improve my Z&B tactics. Loaded with a single 500 lb. bomb to score that easy early base hit.

The BF-109K4 is my favorite because I've used it's proximity shells in the cannons many times in GRB to secure air Superiority

I feel like the 109 F4s 15mm cannons are SUPER underrated.. taking them into both mixed and air RB battles is super nice having the extra sets of guns under your wings causes massive damage to enemy aircraft and its good for bomber hunting.

I love the G-6/F-1, in Ground RB and the F-4/E-1 in Air-RB. They are deadly and can destroy anything.

The E-4 is the best, IMO. Good performance at all speeds and has the engine power to match. You can dogfight pretty much anything in it and come out on top. Also, any plants to add the Bf109 T? It was used in service, albeit not on a carrier as it was intended to.

I hope that this becomes a series, i like the Bf-109 F4 btw

The 109 K4 is incredible in GRB as a CAS and open top tank denyer. Couple that with another K4 flown by a friend with good communication and the enemy team will never be able to CAS anyone.

My favorite is the 109 E-3. I’ve got well over 100 kills. I earned both skins from Simulator Battles using a controller. She’s fought ai yak 1’s in Afghanistan and returned to base victorious.

The G-6 is the best, the other ones usually just get uptiered against aircraft that are 2 years newer than it and much faster

K-4 is amazing for mixed battles. It can strafe open top vehicles and then shoot down enemy CAS planes.

I love playing the G-14 and it’s so much better when you have a full squad running it

For me, I have flown Bf-109G6/G14. They are fantastic in every match. I really like 30mm MG's that always help me shoot down any enemy bombers. I still fly both of them to get more Silver Lions to complete researching Lim-5P, then I will start flying Jets onward.

The F4 is incredible especially if equipped with the extra 2x 20mm wing mounted. I fly more turn fighting vs boom and zoom and have over 200 kills. However, flying at night or overcast dark situations, the lighted instruments in the K4 were a godsent.

I think the f4 model is the best. I can finish the matches with 3 kills almost without being touched with 15 mm guns. You can also use a different tactic than the one in the video. The tactic is to advance without ascending, without being too far in the middle of the map. if the opposing team has an attack plane, first make sure it has no protection and then take it down. then attacking other attack aircraft or any low-flying aircraft if they are available, and climbing into the main battle if not. If you're not good at dogfight this tactic might work for you, but not in all situations.

My favorite is the E-3 because that was my first ace in a battle

1. Bf 109 E4 hands down my most favorite. The looks, the speed, the maneuverability. I even scored a win once against 2 enemy spitfires. I wish it would have more regular and marketplace skins. Only 1 default is available, sadly. 2. Bf 109 K4 coupled with the Papagei Staffel skin. I take it out often in GRB and completely decimate enemy CAS. 3. Bf 109 F4 used to be my favorite before I found out the greatness of E4 and grinded out the K4. Though the engine overheats pretty fast. Remember when I started playing WT, I actually had to read up on an IRL manual and watch several hours of instruction videos from WT youtubers to do well in Bf 109's. They are hard to play planes and even harder to master, but playing them is very satisfying. One gripe with the video and with Gaijin. The G10 and G14 are virtually identical to G6. They are not faster, only difference is a slight variation in geometry. All 3 should be the same BR at 4.7.

I think the best for me is the G-10, because of the ammo type wich is really convenient in terms of damage: the 30 mm cannon at the front and the two 20 mm cannons at the sides are really useful in combat, especially for my fighting fight; but also for the aerodinamic shape of the plane, which is useful for particular movings and various situations. Messerschmitt BF-109 G-10 = best plane ever

I usually get to about .50 miles from the bombers and I can usually kill them even with the beginning bf 109. You just have to know where the guns on each bomber is located and where to shoot it.

I really like the BF-109 F4 Trop Version. and sweet i like a couple of those tactics i'll bag em home with me.

No early model 109 (600+ horsepower )were only capable of around 350 miles an hour,and later models were capable of 450 with 2000 horsepower engines but that was towards end of war.

as a German main this entire video was nothing but a good source of dopamine but a good source of info for future and upcoming German mains

My favourite bf-109 is the BF-109 E-3. It is a low tier plane, meaning it means weaker targets, it is relatively fast and maneuverable, and it is the first to have cannons, meaning it can obliterate enemy targets even at a distance when most of the enemies you face have 10 - 15 mm machineguns. Super effective, but it's not that strong. The best tactic for it is to point out the most lonely enemy fighters and go for them, instead of clashing with the 50 fighters infront of you. That's a certain death. You shouldn't be afraid of head-ons since you have cannons and your enemy most likely doesn't, and you can cannon them to shreds at a distance of 750 meters max. If someone does get on your tail, i recommend you don't do flips and spins, but instead do barrel rolls while constantly moving your plane left and right randomly while flipping your wings around, in a straight line towards your homebase. You will most likely bait the enemy to your base, get an ally to kill it, or anti air on your runway, or the enemy will pull off realizing your trick, and you'll be able to turn around and give the farmers down below some extra metal to clean off their land. DEFINETELY. RECOMMENDED.

If you know how to use it properly you can actually win turn fights in the BF-109 K4 (or any other Model w/ gunpods) while having gunpods equipped. Ive played a few games where I scored as much as 12-0 in the K4 because of knowing it’s advantages & disadvantages.

I'm so inconsistent in the E series so it makes me love the F 1 and 2 so much more! BTW, is anyone else having issues with their American P40 E1 paint schemes? It's only showing me the default.

The G variants are my favorite because of their great power during WEP and they can carry 3x30mm so enemies will get incinerated if I get a bit of an angle on them, plus turn rate is overrated.

I did all my hours on birds of prey and birds of steel on PS3. I don't know if that is an accurate representation of the real thing but I loved it.4000+ hours on many aircraft. I like the E4 and the F2 and F4. They are good in a dog fight when you get used to them and do it in short bursts and then piss off out of the way 👍

All there was between the flesh and bone of allied bomber crews and the cannon shells of the BF-109, was 0.025 gauge alloy. Any allied crew that got in the way, would have limbs/heads blown clean off.

Please give us a makeover of the Bf 109 cockpit like the cockpit of the spitfire last september. I play in VR and that would be a gamechanger! In the sakeen it already looks gread. Maybe a good starting point for a general Bf 109 or FW 190 makeover.

Loved my Emils but am finding the Friederich a bit of a hard slog - sure the plane is better but then so are all your opponents. I'm also still trying to get my head around all this boom and zoom stuff, despite what the narrator says the F model is not a great climber, at least in my opinion.

Can you guys from the Gaijin team add he Bf109 k14 into the game? It was built and even combat tested before germany capitulated, that's what I've read in the forum suggestion at least but feel like the topic about the bf109 k14 has been completely forgotten.

My favorite Bf 109 was the K series.
