Tadias Magazine caught up with the real-life inspirations for the award-winning Ethiopian film "Difret" -- Aberash Bekele and her lawyer Meaza Ashenafi as well as Producer Mehret Mandefro -- on October 18th, 2015 during its U.S. premiere in New York City. Below is our conversation with three of the women behind "Difret" about the case that launched a global spotlight on the practice of abduction for marriage, telefa, and the educational efforts underway to end it.
