I don't think they are closer than other members. Their closeness can be different from other members because they are of the same age. Each member of BTS has a special and unique relationship with each other, none of which can be considered more or less close or intimate I believe! For example, Jimin has a very special bond with J-hope and has a bickering relationship with Yoongi. Similarly Taehyung has grown up in the "embrace" of RM almost. RM literally said that he was "in charge" of Taehyung (because of his unique, independent personality) and both of them have been roommates for a long time. I do believe they are really close to each other although it might not come across as such to many people! So, I think when it comes to BTS, we can't really tell that one is closer to another among the members I guess! I shared my opinion just to add another perspective. I hope I haven't offended you. You should react to the songs '4 O'Clock' and 'Friends'. The lyrics are so sweet and you get to know their bond better. I love how Tae kept repeating and wanting Jimin to know that '4 O'Clock' was written then. After watching Vmin compilations you always feel good. Funny, sassy, moving and extremely caring and sweet. There are so many instances when they just start roleplaying. Like the sword thing you saw is just them improvising, not part of the choreo but just them acting same in the flying yoga studio they just improvise. They do it a lot and one just starts out of nowhere and the other goes along with it no questions asked. You have to react to more Vmin compilations. It's also very drama free to react to Vmin.
The way Vmin love each other is special. They will have petty arguments and fight about nonsensical things but they also have some of the most genuine moments of all the members. The letter from BV S2 is heartwarming.
I think them living together gave them that bond. They had to accept each others good and bad habit from the start. There wasn't getting out of it. So now their bonds are strong, no matter what they go through.
They reflect on each other so much that they call themselves "soulmates". I think is one of the strongest bonds within bts, even if they do everything to hide it!

Their friendship is amazing! About the dumpling incident... The explained it in full recently in the book (Beyond The Story). The dumplings moment was when they both just exploded. What lead to it was weeks of overworking and exhaustion. V was filming his drama Hwarang at the time so he was absolutely knackered all the time, between set, world tour, dance practice, vocal practice. Jimin was also jealous of V's good bond with actors hyungs. It all piled up and erupted beyond control because of hunger with stupid dumplings. Have a lovely day everyone! 💜💜💜💜

They are actually THE BEST OF FRIENDS in BTS. They call eachother their soulmate. Jimin and V not only grew up together with the other bts members but V and jimin also went school and college together. They were classmates in both institutions. They are extremely close and comforting to eachother and since they are of the same age in the grp they bicker a lot too. Since they can't bicker with their hyungs much, they bicker with eachother.

The Dumpling argument, actually was a little bigger than just the food, Taehyung in that time was working in a K-Drama name. Hawarang, he was overworking with practices for the Tour, singing, dancing classes and everything... Jimin said that he started to feel jealous because Taehyung become closer with the cast of the drama (now they are his group of close friends, the Wooga Squad) in that time, so Jimin was sensitive and probably also stressed because of the Tour, and they fought. "4 o'clock" is a song that Taehyung wrote with the help of RM, tells the story of 2 person meeting in a park, the song is very melancholy and is focused in the emotions and scenery, Taehyung was very emotional when he performed the song live. "Friends" is a song that Jimin wrote and worked in production also, the lyrics of the song are playful and tells the story of their friendship like Soulmates, Taehyung also sings in the song and the live performance is very cute and wholesome💓

The Dumpling Incident Is legendary. Poor Tae was ravenous after a long day shooting Hwarang but I can see Jimin’s point. What’s funny is that it’s so long ago that they don’t remember the specifics. Friends, is such a sweet song about the two of them. They were wearing school uniforms in that performance. It features in a recent Marvel film. There’s also a Crying in the Rain incident between JK and Jimin. Not to mention the Spring Day argument between Tae and Jin. All water under the bridge now.
