Seeing Taehyung sing like this always makes me wonder what could’ve been. I’m not saying every BTS song needs to be perfect for his vocal range but I do think BTS would’ve had a richer discography if they had more songs catered to Taehyung vocals. His vocals carry a certain maturity the others do not, and quite honestly he can make a song/verse sound grown and sexy without even trying. I’ll never forgive BH for subjecting him to “sub-vocalist” since the bias that comes with that position has followed him for years and is still used against him to this day despite the fact that he sings like THIS.

There are many singers with nice voice and can sing beautifully, but tae have the gift of that deep soulful voice that can make you feel the song , the lyrics, even though you don’t understand Korean you can feel the emotions in his voice . Such a talent. Sometimes it feels like his talent is wasted in BTS.

His voice is so underrated. The best vocalist of the band for me. Although it could be just my personal taste. Never heard a voice like his. SO unique, never bland… you can feel what he is singing even though you can’t understand the lyrics… and that’s what makes him an exceptional performer.

Having listened to the original of both songs, I can attest that Taehyung’s casual cover is superior. His voice is beautifully soulful, mature, sweet but manly. His range is wide, his low register is as deep as ocean. I love the boys equally but quite honestly there is no denying that Taehyung possesses an extraordinary vocals, more so than JK or Jin

I hope HYBE/Bighit will produce a song that is quite fit with taehyung's voice. All he do is to adjust his range to higher notes, which no doubt he can slay but it's not his forte. I want to see him unleash his true self, his full inner potential cause I know there's alot more. That's why, I appreciate and thankful to Chris Martin for giving the right part in my "My universe" to Taehyung. It fits him well. I hope HYBE/Bighit will appreciate his voice more, too.

I think we need to wait his mixtape, because bighit make songs that want from it to be popular and people keep on listening to it, and usually these are the title, but what I don't like more that even if the song has low notes, they don't really give tae alot as well, but I'm glad that he could sing and even make the members sing what he wants in blue and grey, but he is doing well eith the high notes as well, but for me that not his thing, so even though that's not gonna happen that bighit appreciate and be aware of his natural voice 💜✌️

@@bashardakhnous9323 yeah I totally agree. but they don't need to produce songs that requires high notes for it to be popular. there are songs that are so popular that aren't that high, eg. Most of coldplay's songs (chris martin is a baritone himself), dua lipa's, michael Bublé's, etc. I think they should consider ALL the members in producing a song.

Finally, Big Hit did Tae justice by giving him the mark he deserves. Finally, the mark Tae got could shut up the Army antis for trashing his vocals. Finally, Chris Martin did Tae justice by inviting him to sing a verse & praised his voice as nice & perfect. But when will finally some Army stop hating this selfless member who loves Army and don’t repay him with hatred? And I feel so proud of Tae stans for being so humble. Even when Tae got the highest marks, they won’t spam the comments highly praising his vocals. In fact, his vocals don’t need the comments of irrelevant people.

Thanks for saying this! I think most Tae’s fans are mature enough not to spam the comments section. I saw one group performance where what appears to be a solo stan completely ignored everyone else and posted like 10 posts praising his/her bias alone. It’s annoying, even if this praise is well deserved. It’s fine to praise your bias, I do it too, but when you spam and always ignore everyone else’s existence and contributions that’s when it gets into the overkill, solo stan territory. I’m so happy to hear Tae singing the style that suits him best. In my opinion, nobody else shines like him in this style.

I was so happy that Tae WAS able to sing this on RUN EPISODE. WHY RUN??? because though Tae's voice is so beautiful a lot of ARMYs tend to ignore and don't appreciate it. idk what it is with Taehyung his singing just takes you there.. like if he's singing sad songs especially about heartbreaking songs you just cant help but feel it even when your not going thru heartaches.. he isn't just singing for the heck of it.. he is telling a story so it feels intimate when he sings.. because its like he's letting us in into the story of the song.

Unfortunately Tae is the only baritone in vocal line. Also most BTS romantic ballads are in the higher register for the tenors. The only songs like this for Tae would be solo songs or possibly a subunit song. Like "4 o'clock" or his cover of "Hug me" with Jhope.

@@soniacruz8407 Yes I know, and that´s so sad to me, cause even I love the tenor´s voices, cause they are really great... to me, Taehyung´s voice is so amazing, and Im pretty sure, that NOBODY has that lower, deep, softly whispering register... and when he sings with his natural voice he sounds so masculine and incredible... It´s a pitty we cant have more of that Kim Taehyung... I dont like comparisson but, I like his voice the most! I hope we can have soon KTH1!!

@@kimleeclau7529 I hope he can release KTH 1 this year. I love his voice, I don't like to compare either because it will always come down to preference. All their voices are different from each other. Their musical styles are also different. Pop, R&B, Rock ballad, jazzy. My favorite voices are Tae's and also Jin's. Tae has a soulful, warm voice and a romantic heart. His own songs are all love songs. But I think he has an eclectic taste, and likes to try different styles. KTH 1 will be very special.

@@bashardakhnous9323 He proved himself back then too. In order to get more lines he has to sing in high register. It is harder to worry about choreography steps, keeping breath control and also worry about hitting notes at a higher register than your comfort zone. And have fun while doing it and show the fans a good performance. To me he has always done better than people give him credit for. But I do agree that he has more voice stability in 2020 and 2021. Perhaps the gym workouts and proper resting play a part in that.

More funny is JK said it would become Taehyung's concert since he knows more songs' titles and could challenge faster. Tae is always singing backstage in many bangtan bombs. RM, Jin and JK tend to join in the fun the most. These songs really suit his baritone voice and obviously he could sing from memory to give a flawless performance.

I must add that Taehyung’s got a very unique voice, the only baritone vocalist, he has the widest vocal range in BTS & can sing any kind of music genre, from the highest to the lowest notes. I appreciate every BTS song he has sang because he definitely nailed all of them, any kind of song can fit his voice. 💯 Therefore I do hope too he can sing the genre he wants.

I'm coming back here to re-listen to Taehyung's rendition of Drunken Truth & Coward. It's because after he uploaded his cover of It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, his actual beautiful voice stuns the world. But prior to this he already showcased how breathtaking his natural baritone is when he sang these 2 songs. I hope Tae will be able to release his solo jazz songs and ballads which fit his voice so perfectly. He is always the favorite vocalist of numerous people around the world.

Taehyung’s voice makes me cry just by hearing his voice full of deep emotions, don’t need to know the lyrics to feel what he’s singing. His voice is pure magic he can cure your pain and make you feel so many beautiful things. I remember his performance “Inner Child” the most genuine & heart touching performance, impossible to not cry everytime i watch it. Taehyung’s a gift to us from heaven, an angel, a masterpiece too good to be true. Forever grateful that we have Taehyung in this world.

i skipped meals for almost five days consecutively because of burnout, and instead of trying to get better, i had a hard time going back in track and taking care of myself. it even almost took me a week before i decided to finally have a decent meal. while i was being self-destructive, i came across this video of tae singing these beautiful songs (i tend to watch bts a lot when i suffer in life). and tae made me build up those emotions that i ignored for a long time. i broke down while listening to him, and came to a realization that i should do well with regards to my health already. i was there, lying on my bed at night, listening to this. i even dl it so i could listen to it on loop without consuming too much data. tae gave me that push to change by moving me/touching my soul. i'm a bit emotional, but i really love his natural voice. it makes you feel things and touch your heart. i hope tae will sing songs that will showcase his natural voice more in the future. he doesn't have to sing high notes. his baritone voice is one of a kind already...

This is V's natural voice. So beautiful, very emotional song. V showcase his baritone voice. Whoever listen to this song will melt their heart. I created my own playlist just for these two beautiful song. I will practice this so I can sing it in Korean too. I'm loving it so much!!! His voice is very comforting. I'm so so loving it!!!!

Actually he wished to be a singer since middle school but his dad told him to study an instrument instead so many thank that he wasn't interested in music before just because his audition was very unexpected.... he's technically skilled vocally now you don't have to be afraid of saying that out loud. Taehyung improved drastically recently. No one in that group has his range and versatility. I'm speaking in a objective way not as an opinion.

Bighit should let him sing more ost for k- drama with his baritone voice. I am sure he will be another iu in Korea. His voice is a wow factor if bighit use his voice correctly m sure no one can doubt bts vocal.

@@bashardakhnous9323 you know thats not true. he always want to release new music but bighit dont let him...sth about the schedule (thats bullshit) Its also the job of the company to give him opportunities like that, taehyung can't be aware of those things, he only made sweet night because his friend acts in that kdrama (he probably told him to do it)

Now bighit giving other member ost why not gave him ost too. Sweet night was written compose and produced by him so why not they gave more chance. Sweet night was request from his frend company did not even lift their hand at all for him He is in dance line but special performance exclude him.
