Honestly, lyrics and melodies are just so good, I got teary eyes on the first listen. 24. SKZ - God's menu, it's still their best song imo. 23. Dreamcatcher - Red Sun. It wasn't really popular, but it's a masterpiece. 22. (G)I-dle - Uh-oh. Well, you don't often see east-coast hip-hop in k-pop, and I like it so much, I just couldn't. 21. K/DA - Pop starts. Well, technically it's a k-pop right? It was the song that got me into K-pop anyway, so... 20. Wonder Girls - Tell me. Just iconic, I listen to it to this day. 19. Bigbang - BANG BANG BANG, as I said, I'm not a bg-fan, so prolly should be even higher, it's a masterpiece. 18. Blackpink - D4, oh, I lied, cause it's actually the song that really got me into k-pop. 17. Twice - Cheer Up. Come on, it's their greatest song, too. You can't skip that:) 16. aespa - illusion. Just fire song, I like that compared to other aespa songs, this doesn't have sudden switches, it's steady and beautiful all the way through. 15. Dreamcatcher - Deja Vu, with all due respect, it's barely k-pop:) But still, it's a masterpiece. 14. BTS - fake love. Strong rap and vocals, great lyrics, masterpiece of a choreo, and the LENGTH, isn't it like 4 minutes long? Why don't they do such songs nowadays. 13. PSY - Gangnam style. You've gotta admit... 12. NewJeans - Ditto, this song changed k-pop really. 11. Red Velvet - Psycho. Idk how you can top that with Zimzalabim, honestly:) Psycho is a piece of art. 10. Girls Generation - Gee. Like isn't it timeless masterpiece? 9. V - Rainy days. Like wtf, I almost became gay, and also it's a blues, like how come blues could be presented in K-pop this good? Piece of art. 8. IU - bbibbi. I haven't really got into IU, but I think everyone has to admit it's a timeless masterpiece. 7. NewJeans - Supershy, it's still isn't seen as big as ditto, but as time will pass, I'm sure it'll become one of their greatest songs. 6. BTC - Boy in luv, well, can't argue there right. 5. Girls Generation - The boys. Not all loved the song, but it's so my taste, I can't. And it's also almost 4 minutes long! 4. BoA - Energetic, like wtf, the song is 2009-year, why is it soo good? 3. Blackpink - Pretty Savage. 2. BTS - Mic Drop (Steve Aoki Remix) 1. KARA - Step 😅 Sounds Cringy but as soon as I heard it 2 years back it's my everyday song, I've put it on my alarm ringtone and it's just giving me so much energy for the day to start.

english is not my first language so i apologize if u don't understand something i tried my best to write what is in my head: i started listening to K-pop this year, two songs were going viral and i kept seeing them on my fyp so i was like let me give it a listen. before i only knew Blackpink but i always hated k-pop because of how some the fans acts and i thought k-pop songs are overproduced,annoying, vocally and lyrically there was nothing interesting but i didn't want to hate on something that i don't know much about. i downloaded the two songs and it was my first year of college i listened to them in the bus, sometimes when we had rests i go to a park i started drawing while listening to them, i fell in love with them, it was easy to listen to but not too simple to not be interesting, the two songs were OMG and Ditto by Newjeans, i draw because it is fun and listening to omg while doing it was so fun especially the background vocals and (They keep on asking me, "who is he?") part, Ditto on the other hand is sad even if you don't understand the lyrics it reminds me of supercut by Lorde because of the way it makes you feel so i listen to it in the bus because of the fast pacing production it has, the song matched the fast going scenes i was watching through the window of the bus. i like k-pop and i lsten to more groups now, great video thanks for sharing and making content

I was about to get some sleep and this notification hit.. I had to watch asap. The amount of respect I have for you, Taejiu, started high and only continues to go higher. I want to make it very clear that it's a genuine respect for your character, and a fair amount of the time, your taste in music; especially with how well you seem to have a good mix of analysis and know when to be like "fluff it, not the most artistic but it's a BANGER." I may agree with you sometimes (4 RV songs w/ honorable mention🤌) and disagree with you other times (Zimzalabim cracking top 25 kpop songs and Psycho not even.. you're actually wild for that) but it doesn't matter cause I ALWAYS love to hear the perspective of the people I respect. To me your top 25 and honorable mentions not only show the amount of passion you have for kpop and music (the time you took... I can't even imagine😵‍💫) but this video is sincerely a beautiful representation of just ONE persons crazy mix of unique and crazy blends of all the subgenres and artists that have made up this incredible part of the world that's special to all of us that enjoy it. This is such an amazing video. Listing your faves of the past 6 years is a huge task. I wish I could do the same, but I started kpop in 2005, so that would throw me for an eternal loop of research haha. People often ask me for the best gen 2/gen 3 songs, but perhaps I should really tackle it in a video too at some point, so people can just watch a video like this. It's so cool!

I always enjoy these kinds of videos because it’s interesting to see just how different everyone’s taste can be even inside kpop. For me, most of these songs I never liked, got bored of quickly, or in the case of What Do I Call You, while I love love love it, I probably wouldn’t think of it when considering Taeyeon’s best songs.

YASSSS some love for ACE with Goblin, even if just a honourable mention, it's such a bop! You're insane for actually making this list happen. I've been listening to k-pop since 2011 and I just cannot. I tried doing separate girl/boy lists to make it a bit easier, I tried adding a rule of "one song per artist" or "do a separate list for anti-drops only", but I just cannot.

Personally, I keep a playlist of my top 20-ish songs in order. Every now and then, I delete the playlist and then scroll through all of my kpop songs and remake it. It’s neat to see how it changes every time; some songs are consistently in the same spots, some float in and out. But obviously favorites will vary; you could remake this video a year from now and no doubt it would be pretty different. My current favorite kpop song is Sour Grapes, followed by Catallena, I Got a Boy, Likey, and Illusion. Some others in the top 20 are Piri, Nxde, Pink Venom, Zero, and Hobgoblin. Although my current list is pretty outdated, I haven’t remade it in a few months now. I guess I’ll use this video as inspiration to remake my own!

Taking into consideration that I'm hearing around half of these for the first time, of the ones you chose that I knew, my favourites are Daechwita, Feel Special, 0x1=LOVESONG, Ditto, Russian Roulette and Spring Day. I do also love Dreamcatcher and IU, but the songs I picked are my preferred genres. I agree, Spring Day is the ultimate kpop song.
