What is Taekwondo?
Taekwondo is a self-defense art that originated in Korea. It is recognized as one of the oldest forms of martial arts in the world, dating back over 2000 years.
Through strict discipline, Taekwondo trains both the body and mind, with great emphasis on developing moral character. In other words, physical grace must be accompanied by mental control, self-discipline, kindness and humility.
Taekwondo truly is a wonderful martial art and the main reason for this is that it is a great form of exercise. If you haven't already signed up for a local Taekwondo class near you, you should seriously give it a try to reap all the benefits of Taekwondo.
